I'm torn writing this review. We purchased our P20 king bed in 2019 from the Raleigh location. First I will say that my husband and I have never woke up in pain, even during 2 pregnancies. It is by far the most comfortable mattress we have ever slept on, and can not wait to get home to our bed after traveling.
Now for the frustrating parts. The case to our bed broke immediately when we sat down on the mattress after getting it put together. The zipper went flying off because the case was too tight. So for 6 years, I've been pulling the sheet up to pull the case back where it's supposed to sit on the mattress, every day when making the bed.
For about 11 months now, the most concerning issue has been happening. There is a STRONG smell coming from the mattress and it is beginning to flake pretty badly. I believe the latex is breaking down. From what I've read, once it starts doing this, it won't stop. I did not expect this, but it makes sense for a natural material to degrade over time. We are having to purchase a new mattress now, the smell is too strong and it is beginning to make our whole room smell odd. It is not overly humid in our home, the bed doesn't receive direct sunlight, and we use all organic cotton bedding. I don't think anything we have done made it disintegrate quickly, I think these mattresses just have a timeline from the day that they are produced.
So, while I think latex is a good option, especially for those that wake up in pain, I wish it weren't advertised as lasting so long. We'll be switching to a standard organic mattress, and maybe getting a latex topper that we can switch out at the 4 year mark, before it even has a chance to degrade.

By far the BEST beds we have ever owned! We have purchased three beds from this amazing company and we have loved every single one! We also love the pillows from here too! Their customer service is top notch and their products are the best on the market. We are happy to say we are customers for life and we love that everything is made right here in America! Don’t hesitate to purchase everything you need from this gem of a business!!

Got a mattress package delivered years ago from Sleep Essentials. A decade later I'm still crashing out on this thing like it's day one. Like new. No wear. No sagging. No body impression. No wear on the bamboo mattress cover. No chemical smell. Just pure slumber bliss.

It's been about 2 years now since I bought a latex mattress and an adjustable frame. Well I couldn't be happier, the mattress is soooo supportive, no dips just comfort. I am truly so happy with my purchase and recommend them highly.
Lee's many videos were so informative I knew I was making the right choice. Thank you.

I’ve had my Sleep Essentials mattress for three years, and I absolutely love it! Recently, I got married, and my husband wanted us to try his Tempur-Pedic mattress. After sleeping on it for a while, I had him switch to my Sleep Essentials mattress, and we both agreed—hands down, it’s the best! We’re now ordering another one for our main bedroom because, honestly, it’s the most comfortable mattress we’ve ever slept on.

My wife and I had a latex mattress that we slept on for 20 years and at that time we considered it the best mattress we ever slept on. Last spring, we decided to replace it with a new latex mattress from Sleep Essentials. Now, after sleeping on the new mattress for 8 months, we believe the Sleep Essentials latex mattress is the best mattress we ever slept on. It is even more comfortable than the old one we replaced. We highly recommend the Sleep Essentials latex mattresses.

I learned everything you need to know about mattresses from this gentleman. Then we purchased one and it’s absolutely amazing. My back instantly felt better just laying down on it. Hands down best mattress I’ve ever slept on! Highly recommend this to everyone.

We have had this mattress for a year and a half and it’s the best investment. My husband and I are both heavy. I weigh 225lb and he is 280lb and there are no sleep divots yet. Every memory foam mattress we had prior to this one we would get divots within 6 months even with the more expensive mattress. Sleep 10/10. Don’t love the bed frame we purchased through them however. It’s okay. Just wouldn’t recommend the bed frame.

I have yet to receive the items that were ordered. However, the customer service has been excellent thus far. Sleep Essentials was contacted 1.5 hours before they opened, and the call was answered anyway. Yay! I was asked for information that would confirm our purchase decision was correct, and was told that the mattress would ship the same day. Double Yay! I was referred to Sleep Essentials through trusted friends, who had purchased previously and have been quite pleased with their product. So far, so good. Zzzzzz.......

I ordered the AR2 split king because we have a split king adjustable base. We are loving our bed but I thought it would be softer than it is. It's has a soft feel when getting into bed and when I move around but when I'm still it's firmer than I like. I like to feel cradle soft. Dont get me wrong this is the best bed we have ever had, but If your like me, 130lbs or lighter and like really soft then don't hesitate to go with the AR1. I was more worried it be to soft for my husband but it's perfect for him at 180lbs and he likes a soft/firmer feel mattress.
The bed arrived in just two days which is the fastest shipping ever. When building the bed it was questionable that the bottom cover would fit but rest assure it does fit and zips. I'm very pleased with this bed and knowing it has absolutely no chemicals is the reason why we went with this most trusted company. They do offer a comfort trial which is a pluse and I may get the softest top layer.
I'm so glad I found sleep essential and I highly recommend them. I would buy from them again and again. I will never go back to any other bed company. Sleep essential latex is the only way to go for the best, hands down.
Update. I did end up getting the softest top layer and its perfect. Thank you. The cover (zipper) could be better and the latex pillow is built for a man side sleeper because he has wider shoulders. It's to fat of a pillow for a woman.

I had found Sleep Essentials while researching bed options last year and was interested in an all latex mattress. However, we did not want to buy a bed without actually laying on it and since we were not local, we bought from somewhere else. We recently purchased a second home near Roanoke and needed a new bed so we visited the store in person. We tried all the mattresses and ended up buying an AR2 King. After a week of sleeping on the mattress I can say that we love it. It is soft but supportive and we both sleep great on it. The owner Lee is a good guy and I would definitely recommend Sleep Essentials if you are in the market for a mattress.
