About The Lawson Building East
Elevate Your Living. Experience the excitement of living just one block from downtown shops, museums, restaurants, live music and Roanoke’s historic City and Farmer’s market! Based on 20th century London Flats, the apartments have open floorplans, concrete countertops, spiral staircases, exposed bricks, heavy timber post construction, distressed hardwood floors and lofted bedrooms. The Lawson Building is an adaptive re-use project. Seeking to reinvest in built infrastructure as opposed to creating our own, we selected an overlooked merchandise warehouse in the industrial center of Roanoke to convert into 22 residential apartments and three live/work, commercial/retail spaces.

Was fine for the year we were there. The apartment had leaks and the maintenance team was slow to respond. Best part was getting a bunch of my shit (thousands of dollars in records and my record player) stolen out of my locked apartment while we were in the process of moving out. Great job folks.

Building itself is gorgeous. Close to downtown. Gated parking space. Current management (Allegheny Partners) is excellent. Responsive for maintenance. Prompt emails about apartment info & surrounding events downtown.
