I appreciate the awesome customer service! Had a last minute change of plans and Hilton was super accommodating.

The cleanliness of the hotel was subpar, detracting significantly from the overall experience. The front desk staff seemed more engaged with their cell phones than with attending to guests. For those who can overlook the presence of bugs and tolerate a certain level of filth, the location might still appeal. It's conveniently situated beside Interstate 81 and just minutes from downtown Roanoke, offering a sense of safety despite the conditions. It appears that the hotel may be under new management, as it once boasted higher standards of hospitality. Regrettably, due to the decline in quality, we will no longer consider this hotel for our future visits to Roanoke.Safety: Felt very safe

Volunteer review: Great value. Rooms and hotel common areas are very clean (no carpet) and organized. It reminds me of Ibis line of hotels in Europe with a Minimalist design. Great continental breakfast. Pet friendly. Very friendly staff. Parking area is nicely light up. Hotel area is in good location and it feels very safe. Tru by Hilton is going to be our go to every time I need a hotel stay.

Stayed here in the middle of a cross country road trip- had great staff, decent room, and a perfect location at the top of a hill over looking the valley and mountains (plus it's right off the highway 81). There's also a highly rated Mexican Restaurant just next door (food was ~ok). Room was clean and aesthetic, but felt a bit crowded with the chair and tables (though I'd rather them be there than not). The AC was slightly stinky and wouldn't turn off when I set it to off. Very cold and had to through a towel in front of it. Plan on staying here again on my way back down in a few months. The lobby and lounge was impressively welcoming and had a great atmosphere with a pool table etc.Safety: Felt very safe at the top of a hill on the edge of town. Seemed very scenic and isolated (as I prefer). There were a few other hotels on the street as well as an oddly placed Tractor Supply Co haha, but no concerns at all.

Clean, barebones, a little overpriced for what you get.

Checked in at 5:00 pm and the TV did not work. Called front desk and they said they would look into it. Hung out downstairs playing pool for a bit when they went up to fix they came down and said nothing. I assume everything is good and headed off to dinner and returned and again they said nothing at the front desk when I returned. Got into the room and the TV still does not work. Called again and was advised the TV is not operational, kind of already knew that so I asked about switching rooms and that was not an option as they are full, asked about switching hotels and that is a manager responsibility. Ok can I talk to the manager or can you check. Manager is not available until 9:00 am the next morning. Wait the manager is not available? What manager cannot be called in a 24 hour a day 7 days a week operation. So I called Hilton Honors and talked to customer service. Yep they called the front desk and confirmed the manager is unavailable. Ok already knew that. What I find amazing is TRU and the Hilton brand has no say in their brand and what owners do. Either way last time in a TRU hotel for me.

Well seen as how thier is Hilton behind the name we thought this hotel would be nice. Location was great. Service not bad. But cleanliness was awful. We had aStandard king bed. The pillows looked like a herd of elephants tramped them. The blanket was a queen mattress cover I think.Linens were white if you could call them white. My mother would have turned over in her grave. Stain on one of the towels. No soap in hand dispenser and the hair dryer filthy. Floor dirty. Just not nice. Not a nice way to start a holiday!! Very disappointing!!!Rooms: Filthy

Overnight male concierge is always rude wanna be robocop of tru. Always has pubes and hair in bathtubs. breakfast ends early compared to most hotels. Stayed here multiple times and each time the two black male overnight concierge always act like they hate being there. Wont be staying at this location again.Noteworthy details: Nothing is noteworthy except the bad service overnight

This hotel unfortunately is fairly expensive & just gives you the bare minimums of everything. There is only soap dispensers in the room. Only 2 bath towels. No amenities in the room at all! The front desk ( we checked in at 3:00 am), was not very courteous & was extremely unappealing. We called at 9:00 am & asked for a late check- out, but they wanted to only give us an extra 1/2 hour, my husband had to push to get 1 hour. The shower had barely enough water coming out of it to wash your hair & get the soap out!! Never staying in one of these hotels again & my husband is a Hiltons reward member!! Room was clean though but quite small, no closet. A good amount of money for a lot of nothing!! Bed was fairly hard.Rooms: Minimalistic, to a fault!!

This is a new wave of hotels, and I didn't like it. I will not be back. There are no carpets in the room. There are no closets to hide my stuff. Very European. But, I will say it was clean.Rooms: Small rooms

There were cleanliness concerns but the big issue was air conditioning. I checked in around 10, room was hot, that’s fine I’ll just put on the AC. Two hours later, the room had cooled 1 degree. When I called the desk they acted like I was being annoying. Instead of getting kych needed sleep I’m laying awake with my head at the end of the bed to be closer to the unit. The pillow keeps falling off the end of the bed. At this rate maybe it will be a comfortable temperature around 3 AM. Not exactly the nights sleep I was hoping for with a 10 hour drive tomorrow.

Rooms are small. Need larger night tables. Would be nice if there was a little more comfortable chair to lounge in. TV is nice size bed seems comfortable
