I love plants and it doesn't take much to make me happy at a nursery. I've been twice to the west end location since it opened. The first time I was fully intending to buy and had my hands full and could not find a person to take my payment. The whole greenhouse area was deserted... I could have just walked out with the plants!! The other day, I decided to give it another chance and went back. They have a lot of interesting plants, albeit a lot look quite pitiful and this particular business has a policy of no discounts for dying and blemished plants (years ago I was told they get thrown away!!! What?!?!? Any plant enthusiast would be horified). There was an employee there, but didn't acknowledge me at all. Also, some plants were placed on drip trays on the tables so far out of reach that couldn't be reached without almost climbing on.I'm going to harp again on the "no sale" issue. Most plant enthusiasts get excited at the idea of rescuing a battered plant. The idea of them being thrown away is heartbreaking.Do better, cross creek. I really want to like you and shop there, but you need to do better.

Shout out to Ben! Took my teenage son to Cross Creek to learn more about native hardwoods and shrubs for a project he's working on. I was really impressed as we came over unannounced, and Ben L. spent nearly an hour with us, rattling off a wealth of info as he led us through the gorgeous grounds at Cross Creek! Ben walked the property with us, identifying and explaining the relevant plants we would be most interested in based on the project. Really helped us lay out our next steps for the project. Super impressed at the knowledge base over there!

I think you may have missed the point we would have paid the higher price but it was the insistances by your salesperson that we had to used pesticides to use your services that stopped us from hiring you. Pesticides also kill the bees, benifical insects and the wild life that eat those insects. I hope that you change you policies.

I was assisted today by Jim Poyer. I came in with a blank slate, some ideas, but couldn’t have done it without him. We stayed on budget, he took the time to learn about our property and my preferences before even suggesting anything. I learned a lot & I am sure the trees & plants we picked will thrive. Thank you for taking the time & I will definitely be back!Rowena Ibanez-Woodard

Loved the options for trees and shrubs. However, a lot of what I was looking to purchase was tagged with 2 VERY different prices. Mark up on these were +$$$. There are some fair deals here, though.

What can I say? We are big about supporting local, and I will forever tell people to buy their plants here. My dad and myself have been doing some renovations around dads house......last year we lost my mom to cancer and her and myDad bought their first home together just 5 months before my mom would pass away this year we are trying to do things around the house mom and dad has discussed after purchasing their home. Without knowing any of that we were greeted and offered help by the lovely Maddie (or Mattie) lol sorry for spelling it wrong possibly. She was so sweet and lovely and showed us around had good advice and answers for my dad and he was really excited! He's looking forward to going back and personally so am I because if she's an example of the people who work there than they deserve everyone's business!!!

We have used cross creek for trees & plants several times and have always been happy with the quality and service. This morning, I had the most pleasant experience at the nursery. I was solo with my one year old (in a stroller) and three year old. Not only did one young man advise me on what to purchase for my planter and then proceed to carry the plants to my car-but also, on two other occasions, I was offered help to carry plants/load the plants into my vehicle. Running errands with two little ones in tow can be difficult and I was so grateful for the staff's kindness this morning!

Jim was a huge help this weekend as I can’t seem to keep anything alive in my mulch bed. He took time and reviewed pictures, samples and a soil test to help me find a plant we’re think will make it! I really appreciated his time and hope I can report back with success in the coming months!
