DBB is a beautiful campsite. My group of 21 reserved sites 101, 102 and 103 which are all adjacent to each other. There is ample tree coverage at these spots, so its perfect for camping in the summer to avoid direct sunlight. During our stay, we camped through a sizeable rainstorm, but stayed dry by setting up a series of tarp A frames from the trees to provide dry communal areas. The group sites sit away from the regular sites and RVs which is a nice touch for privacy. The sites are also a brief 5 minute walk to the main brewery and the nicely appointed bath house.A few criticisms. There was miscommunication with the parking situation. Hipcamp states that 2 cars are allowed per site, but on the official DBB camping webpage, it states 3. I reached out directly to DBB and the rep said 4 cars per site were allowed. After our first night, we had a staff member stop by and tell us that we had way to many cars on site, and it should only be 3. So, everyone needs to get on the same page with this piece. The second criticism is the firewood. DBB states you cannot bring in your own wood and you can only use wood purchased from the campsite or scavenged on the property. At $8 a bundle, you would expect this wood to be premium stuff, however we were less than impressed. All 5 bundles of wood purchased had dampness at its core, meaning it was not kiln dried and cut somewhat recently. At the DBB basecamp, they had firepits burning the good stuff, so it's not like they can't provide itRestrooms: Well appointed bath houseDog-friendliness: very dog friendly

We have enjoyed it in the past due to it being quiet. We usually come 3-5 times a year. They have next to no amenities but the prices have shot up this year, for what reason? I can’t see the cost increase being worth it for nothing added. Very disappointed. Seems like corporate greed has snuck in here too.

Was VERY disappointed to hear that the rates for the campground have doubled for this year. I asked what improvements have been made to the campground and was told NONE. I realize that everything is more expensive but to double the price? We have camped there many times and have really enjoyed it. We would love to go back but probably won’t for $135-$150 a night. We pay less than that at campgrounds with many more amenities.

Used to go every winter and had a real good time. The prices have over doubled from last year so I guess it's time to go find somewhere else to have some fun.

AVOID ODD NUMBER RV SITES. The worst RV campground design I have ever seen. Odd number sites need at least 50’ of sewer and power because they require you to plug in water and power on passenger side, and sewer on driver side. Please FIX!!The rest of the campground looks great, but they had no clue when designing the RV lot

Great relaxing place that we were able to hang out and have a nice refreshment. We went right after our hike and spent a couple of hours lunging around in the landscape. Staff was friendly and pub brews were tasty. Highly recommend for anyone looking to relax.

Went for the Lumberjack Festival. How exciting! We watched the jacks and jills do their thing, had some great food and brews, and then sipped some liquor amid the smell and sales of cigars. Afterward, we went back to the camp site, enjoyed a fire, and grilled more food!Overall, a great experience!

We have stayed at Devils Backbone campground at least 4 times in the last couple of years and this place is so well maintained. Nicole, the Campground Girl, is outstanding. Super helpful, friendly and professional. She keeps the place top notch. Definitely a huge asset for DB. Thanks for all the hiking recommendations Nicole!!!!!

Very cool place. Nice, clean, sites are a good size. You don’t feel on top of each. Walking distance to brewery and restaurant. Music at brewery. The girl that worked the booth super nice and friendly. Informative seem to love the place.

Came here from Norfolk to experience the summer solstice dinner under the stars. Even though it was pouring rain and we had to move indoors they did so seamlessly! The food and drink pairings were filled with so much passion and talent, the presentation and flavors were phenomenal. I rarely treat myself to private or special dinners and I’m so glad I jumped at the tickets for these. DB did an outstanding job and it was an experience to remember for a long long time. Everything from the fresh lavender and ingredients naturally gathered (from their property?? I’m pretty sure) to even the guests and the overall energy and mood was lovely. There’s a lot to experience at this location as they have a bar, distillery, greenhouses, outdoor seating, indoor seating I mean the works. They have it all and it’s amazing. Highly highly recommend to anyone traveling through here or looking for a good brewery to visit!Restrooms: Clean and easy to find
