If I had the option, I would not give the store any stars at all, but I can’t post my comment unless I give at least one star which they are totally not deserving of. At a time when all of our local, small stores and businesses need our support, this will not be a store that I support anymore. There are other stores that are more deserving than this one. On Thanksgiving day when I ran out of kerosene and knew that I needed some for the night, I called ahead and actually got the owner of the store on his cell phone and it was 20 minutes until closing time, and I was only 10 minutes away from the store at the most. And I asked the owner if I could come straight up there, and he said yes we don’t close until five but I’ll call the person working in the store and let them know that you’re on the way. Well I got there at 4:53 with seven minutes to spare until closing. The person working in the store at the time was a tall white gentleman and he was not kind or considerate or compassionate at all and he looked at me and said sorry I’ve ran my reports already and I am closed. But the store didn’t close until 5 o’clock? And I tried calling the owner of the store while I was standing in the store, and after several attempts, this man never answered my phone call. So for all of you out there if you can, please support your other local convenient stores and skip this one. They are not deserving, and there are so many other convenient stores that are considerate enough to stand by their word when they tell you something. This is truly a store that is only about making money. It doesn’t care about their local community and when I have an opportunity to share experiences like this, I think it is very important for our community to make sure we’re giving back to the right people.
