“Here lately, we go to the Dollar General all the time. Everyone's pretty nice, except the lady with the purple hair. She is very rude and gets an attitude with you just because she has to do her job. Normally, she can be found indulging in her favorite activities, like smoking or lounging in the chair next to the beer and grocery baskets. Now, my husband and I have noticed that every time we go there lately, the lady with the purple hair follows you around the store as if you're going to steal something. What's going on with her? Is she on drugs or is she really like this?”

“I actually really enjoy coming here for a few items whenever I am in need of them. This place is on the cutest corner, near a daycare and a bank. The workers here are the sweetest and offer the best service. There are few places that deserve the world, and this is not one of those places. There are even fewer places that the world deserves, this place belongs on that list.”

They make you feel welcome and always have a great attitude no matter what. My family and I pass other stores closer to home to shop here.”
“I love this store. The employees are always helpful and courteous. Bonnie is amazing. I was running behind searching to find a store that sold white tennis shoes for my daughter to wear for cheerleading. I called the store and asked if the store sold them. Bonnie went back and found them in my daughter's size. Then she laced them up and had them ready for her at the register when I came in. She went above and beyond her job description and she saved the day. She was my hero that Saturday morning. Now when I shop in Ladysmith I always go to Family Dollar instead of DG. Bonnie is my favorite but all of the cashiers are quick and helpful. I recommend this store to everybody in the area. We moved out of Ladysmith but we still come and do our shopping in this store.”
