My daughter got the run around for putting in a system. First the salesman measured twice and told her she had enough room and that they would come out in two weeks to install then the installers come out and told her she didn’t have enough room. She later told them she would do whatever it took to get the unit put in and they told her it would be two more weeks. This office is a joke! Don’t waste your time.

I have had Culligan water system for 3 years now. I would not recommend them. I have contacted them for services yearly and each year I say something is wrong we are not using any salt. We have added the salt ONE time in 3 years. That’s not normal. Each time they say it’s this or that and “fix” it. Well our pressure tank had to be replaced and the knowledgeable person who took care of it for us showed us there is an issue with the Culligan system. My husband contacted them today and it will be November 28 before they can come. That is not acceptable! Do not get their water system!

What a difference! Chlorine smell is gone. Shower water feels great. Excellent for tackling Roanoke city water.

I had a water system with Reverse Osmosis system installed about two years ago. From day one the faucet draining into the drain constantly trickled. They came out to "fix" it and installed an adapter (see photo) in the line. The tech said I need to disconnect the line every once in awhile and clean the hose. I recently called them and was told the charges are $125 just to show up which included 15 minutes of "service" plus $3 for fuel. After that was $22.50 for every 15 minutes plus charge for any parts. They a tech would call me that afternoon or the following day. They've said that same thing in the past when I called them. Never heard from them again. I paid thousands of dollars to have a clean water system. You can see in the pictures the product and service you get if you do business with this company. If Yelp had negative stars, this company would have them.

Don’t buy Culligan water. It may be worth it to buy Kinetico, their competitor. We should have.We bought a softener that was not needed and now we are getting the run around with no service. Not even the general manager wants to call me back.Ric the sales guy sold us a softener to go with our system because he said “they had to make the water hard to fix the water Ph. Our water was too acidic and eating the copper pipes. When the system was installed the water Ph was corrected. We were pleased with that. Our problem we want corrected is…. The softener was set too high and leaving residue in our hair, causing it to look greasy, and residue on my skin causing it to be dry. I noticed that the salt in the tank looks almost 1/2 way gone only after 2 months of use and they say it is suppose to last for 12 months. At the rate it was being used it would not last a year. So far no technician has been sent to our house to check to see that our system is running properly or checked it with the hardness of the water to see if it’s being softened too much. We had yo just turn off the softener for now. With it turned off everything feels so much better. Seems like we bought a softener that we never needed and now no one wants to do the right thing. This business only seems to think of their sales and not about lifetime customers.

We got a letter in the mail for a free water test. We scheduled a day and Ric Yowell came out and tested our water. This review is basically to say how friendly and easy he is to get along with. I felt comfortable with him in our home. He played with our 18 month old son and he's the kind of guy who could have hung out all day and it would have been totally fine! Thanks Ric Yowell!

We have been working with the Culligan team for over a year now to figure out our water challenges (Shifting issues - but mainly related to a sulfur smell). They have been very helpful through the whole process, making multiple visits (2.5 hour drive) to investigate/test and modify/update our system. Bill, our main Culligan contact, is one of the most responsive people I have ever dealt with. Josh and Jerry also have been extremely helpful as they have their ideas implemented into our house water system. I have confidence and appreciate this team to eventually solve our shifting well water challenges. I know they won't stop until you have good water. We also have a Culligan RO system that we would highly recommend.

I had been a loyal Culligan customer for the past 10 years and have spent thousands of dollars in their water softener system and regular maintenance of the system. Just recently I had a tech come out and service our system. During the service I Witnessed the service tech accidently break the bypass valve of the iron clear system. He used a hand tool to grip the on/ off valve and I heard a loud pop and the tech jumped. He just looked at it briefly and continued working. I assumed everything was ok. After the service he turned everything back on and he said everything was working fine. The next evening I was around the system and noticed a fresh puddle of water underneath the by pass valve. Upon inspection I found a crack in the on/ off stem of the bypass valve that the tech applied the tool too. I contacted culligan the next day and told them what happen. They stated that they would talk to the manager and get back to me. A short time later I received a phone call and was informed that a service tech would come out to repair the by pass valve the next week but I would have to pay for the part if it wasn’t under warranty and I would have to pay for the labor. I said ok and hung up. After a few minutes of processing what just happen I call culligan back. I told them I should not have to pay for the part or labor since the tech was the one who broke the by pass valve especially since I saw him do it. I asked to speak to the manager but was told he wasn’t available for a phone call and they would pass the information along to him and that he would return my call. I waited for days and never received a call. I call back and canceled the appointment since I did not feel that I should have to pay for what culligan broke. I went ahead and ordered a replacement bypass valve.. The part cost $40 with shipping and 30 min to install. For a cost of $80, which includes part and cost of labor,,which is what culligan could have invested to fix what they broke they instead lost my business.

I bought a $6000 system from the Roanoke dealer for culligan. They came out installed it and that was the beginning of “not getting it right” they praise they’re selves for customer service but I have had them out 3-4 times to clear my water up.... that’s right that big elaborate 6k system over a year later still hasn’t cleaned up my water. The last tech came out because one of our bathrooms stay more iron in the water than the rest of the house. He found that the first install team didn’t even include that side of my house. He also said that it doesn’t make since that it’s not working because he tested the water and it was reading the same somewhat reading it had when the very first guy came out for the initial assessment. So I refused to pay the last two service calls because they didn’t effectively address the issue. I told the lady I was talking to when she called that I had no problems paying for the service call if they come fix the issue. In addition I offered the pay just so they would come back out. Still no solution. I’d be very carful in choosing a water treatment company. This one is selling services to fix services to fix they’re on problems not solutions.

Ric from Culligan of Roanoke did a great job helping us with a problem we had with our water softener. He gave us lots of ideas to fix the problem and did testing on our system and water to give us piece of mind. Thanks Ric!
