Dixie Caverns is a tourist attraction offering cavern tours, a gift shop, and a campground. The cavern itself is nice and cool on a hot day, featuring very fascinating and jaw-dropping rock formations that provide a sense of wonder. The tour is relatively informative and lasts about one hour. Multiple reviewers found the tour guides to be extremely knowledgeable, informative, helpful, super chill, and of good character, often adding humor. The gift shop up front is described as a combination flea market and swap meet with potential for interesting finds, where visitors can purchase items like postcards, hoodies, bracelets, and Virginia blue kyanite. The attached campground has Wi-Fi and cable included, with sites that are tight but can handle all sizes of rigs, making it a good option for an overnight stay. Overall, visitors report it as a decent or very nice cavern worth the price, ideal for reliving roadside attraction wonder or spending time away from the nearby campus.
Awesome place for exploring caves. I love the gift shop and the antique shop attached.
