Absolutely love it here! My family and I have been going to Michelle for years and have brought people to her salon through out the years. Friendly staff that holds a conversation and all their work has been amazing! Throughout my years of seeing them do it, then convincing myself I can do it myself… they have always been able to fix my own mistakes to my hair lol.

Absolutely loved the Vibe of this place! I come from Florida where most Salons I have been too were boring and bland, but this place was gorgeous and nicely decorated. The thrift shop in the back was so fun to look through while waiting and when I was done with my hair. Some items were even made by family or staff. The ladies were so nice and my hair turned out amazing! I don't know how to add photos on here but if I did I would. I 100% would come back here when visiting Salem Virginia again!

Stylist: Michelle did my hair when I was visiting. She fit me in last minute. Was very happy with the style and color she did!

I’m new to the area and was very nervous about finding a new stylist. I visited Shear Madness on West Main in Salem after reading their reviews. I have to say i had a wonderful time!! I absolutely loved the two ladies i met there Brooklyn and the owner Michelle. Michelle was my stylist today and she is absolutely fabulous. She cut my hair beautifully. I will definitely be going back! And I highly recommend this salon for your hair needs. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Pam was great - The online booking system unfortunately only booked one of the two guests of a group booking so one of us was not able to get our highlights due to time constraints but was able to schedule for another day. Shop is super cute, eclectic, love the artwork and set up.

COURTNEY WAS AMAZING!!! It was my first time at a Salon and I thought my hair had no hope . I called shear madness and she answred right away got me booked for 3 days later and completely helped me get what I wanted. She bleached my roots and helped even out the uneven blonde colors in my hair . She explained every step along the way as she was doing it and made me feel very comfortable and even did extra stuff to my hair just to make sure I was happy with the outcome . She did everything she could to make sure i walked out happy and im in love with my new hair !!!! BOOK WITH COURTNEY

Court did an awesome job with my special needs son Lincoln. We always have a hard time with him when we do it at home. But when she suggested bringing him in cause she had experience with special needs kiddos I was skeptical, but omg I was so glad I did. She explained everything to him, let him touch everything and made him feel so comfortable that he actually got a wonderful haircut with no tears!!! He was smiling and happy the whole time. I was amazed. Thank you all so much. ❤️

Courtney was amazing. I have always loved my hair but wanted to do something different and she was confident, caring and had rally good tips. Left picture is my hair before and right picture is after. She talked about self care and definitely this is a start ?❤️
