They sell expired food constantly. Pie, milk, expired tea....Everything that comes out of this store has a weird old taste, like it's about to expire, or it's been thawed then refrozen. I try to avoid it and go to Chilhowie Food City, but they're almost as bad. This is what controlled populations get force fed, unhealthy, expired, tainted bad tasting food. It's not the brands, it's whatever these stores are doing to the "food" and how those chemicals are reacting or something. Everything has a weird taste, if you're forced to go here, double check the dates, and expect the taste to be off. The owners don't eat food from here, they just expect you to give them your money.

No fast food. Nothing. Everything is 30 min or more away. The only thing to do is hang out at the local bar.

Limited selection of groceries, often frozen foods are not good (ice cream on two recent occasions, frozen sausage patties on another occasion), the store is clean, the quality of the food is below average and prices are higher than competitors.

I have only had great experiences shopping here. Jeff the manager is awesome. Lloyd and Cody in the meat department are wonderful. So helpfull and nice. I will not buy meats anywhere else. All of the cashiers are great too. The store is immaculate. Very clean and organized. All of their employees deserve a 5 star rating.
