Great stay from beginning to end. Lobby was clean and smelled fresh even upon our late arrival. Room was clean and spacious as well. Hotel bar in the lobby perfect for an airport location. Staff and management were exceptional; friendly, hospitable, and hard-working. Keisha even went back up to assist us in finding my key fob as it had fallen out of my pocket in the room while packing up. She overheard the kids and I looking and went straight upstairs without words and came back a whole hero! We will definitely be back and thank you all for an outstanding stay!

The staff at this property made this an exceptional stay - even for a quick overnight. They recognize and honor status, are beyond accommodating, and make this feel like so much more than an airport hotel. Kudos to the front desk and housekeeping team.

Air conditioner was terrible. Turns on and off every two minutes. No "constant fan" mode while on "cool" mode. So no sleep with the constant on and off all night.

Conveniently located within a super-short driving distance from the Richmond International Airport, this is a very clean, comfortable place to spend the night at before your flight the next day!
Flight information is also displayed in the lobby area.

Short review: My bed had bits of dead bugs and dark spots across the foot of the entire bottom sheet. I emailed the general manager, Emily Boone, and customer service for MKP Management which owns and manages the property. Emily Boone was indifferent and dismissive stating I must have brought the bits of dead bugs. MKP Management did not reply to my email.
This is the worst Marriott property I have ever experienced.
Longer version: I stayed at the Fairfield Richmond Airport 8/8/24. I arrived late at night and immediately went to bed. In the morning I noticed a dark spot on the bottom sheet. I pulled the covers down and found many dark spots and bits of dead bugs. I went to the front desk and the housekeeping manager came to my room. She looked at the sheet, expressing concern, and bundled it up to take downstairs.
This was very distressing as it was the first night of a long trip. In a later email, Emily Boone assured me this was not evidence of bed bugs (which I'm very relieved about) but declined to see photos and video I took of the sheets. She also stated that since I had slept in the bed, I must have brought the bugs with me.
I followed up with an email to MKP Management, the owner and property manager of the hotel, but did not receive a reply.
I encourage you to look for a different hotel.

Kind staff, clean rooms, great privacy. I would have loved to have more chamomile tea but now I'm just nitpicking. It was wonderful.

Unfortunately I can’t recommend this hotel. My AC unit was very loud and although I reported it to the front desk, nothing was done. Additionally, my room was not serviced and the check-in process was very slow. I will be looking for a different hotel next time I’m in the area.

Helpful and responsive associates. Very welcoming evening crew. The location has construction all around it and my car alarm was going off because of the large machines. That was annoying.
Rooms: Nice rooms, thankful for a clean stay — that’s the most important part.
Nearby activities: Airport is very close.
Safety: Lots of construction nearby. Parking not as open and accessible as I’d like late at night.
Walkability: Not really much to walk to around here.
Food and drinks: Only fast food nearby. Go to Cary or Short Pump for food - Laburnum if you’re looking for something close.

Shockingly, dissatisfied with poor service from General Manager, Emily Boone... Called her today, after seeing that my credit card was charged for a reservation which was cancelled last week, 24 hours before check-in.
I work for a government agency, and I called the hotel directly a week ago to cancel. Upon calling, the person answering said, I have it down, no worries, and thank you! Never stated anything else. Certainly not about being charged anyway for a room not stayed in.
Today, Ms. Bloom stated...they have a 48-hour cancel policy. And would not discuss it or consider any circumstances. Just said NO CREDIT. I said, I have status with Marriott and am prepared to dispute it with them, and my credit card company if forced to. She said... Again, just NO. And wondered why I was getting upset. Nice.
Called Marriott Bonvoy, who followed up immediately on my behalf. They said they DID get concurrence from the hotel they would credit me.
Why did I need to jump through hoops? Take responsibility for your staff's lack of disclosure. Be courteous to government workers who finish serving YOUR community early and are able to go home...instead of treating them with this disrespect.
When I come back to Richmond, I will seek a hotel elsewhere.
Hoping this will help hotel ownership and management think exactly how you communicate with the people you serve.

If you need to stay near the Richmond International Airport then this is the place to stay! I have to admit, I have not stayed in a room of this hotel, BUT, I have gone to many events at this hotel! The place is Great! The staff are helpful and friendly! The lobby bathroom is clean and neat. The decor is modern and inviting. The meeting area is large and has lots of windows. The staff has a great attitude and always being helpful. Would highly recommend!

There was a man in our room when we checked in,cleaning the air conditioner. The wine and beer they sold in the breakfast room was grossly over priced.15.00 for 1 corona and a glass of wine. There were dead bugs on the wall beside the bed. There were live dugs in the shower. They have breakfast in the mornings. As I took my first sip of coffee, noticed a bug floating. I told the gentleman working the breakfast room about the bug. He said, yeah,we have a bug problem but we try to keep them out of the food and coffee. Horrible!!! I went to Colonial Downs in New Kent, I will never stay here again.

Our flight was cancelled, and we needed to find a place for our family of 6. Michelle answered the phone when I called, she got us situated when we arrived, and made sure we had extra blankets for our kids, toothbrushes (since we didn’t have access to our bags), and just overall made us feel welcome and comfortable. It was a bummer of a situation being stuck for a night, but she was fantastic!! Thank you Michelle!

as a family of 4 traveling, this hotel was perfect for our one night stay! this hotel looks newly built and in well kept shape. the rooms are your average hotel rooms, nothing extravagant but it was perfect for us and just what we needed. also, the staff was nice during both check in and check out and greeted us whenever we saw them in the hallway. the complimentary breakfast was a nice bonus with a great variety of foods. i highly recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a 1-2 night stay either for a road trip or the airport (which is right across the street).
