My daughter Devin lives in Schuyler and when we get out there to see her we always get food from the store. We have tried everything from the Hamburgers & Fries, Lasagna, Fried Chicken, Baked Beans, Mac n Cheese, Biscuits, and omg don't forget the desserts EVERYTHING was great ! ! Plus the Ol' Lady (who's not really that old) takes good care of my daughter, if my daughter ever runs out of something, they at the store always come to her rescue. I can rest easy at night knowing there is another caring mom near by my daughter can reach out too. All their children have the best manners. It is so worth stopping by the store and getting something to eat.

rude servis .. Came in to buy some food for my wife and childen on our way back to west Virginia after visting the Blue ride park way and places .Wasn't at all in press with the customer service. . Nothing that special as I was hoping for . . Price was to much and was not much to pick from snack wise my children dident have much to pick from drink wise and snack wise would not recommend this store. No pay at the gas pump options drink box did not take card .Did not look like what I seen in the main picture on Google review look much better on the picture . But had a safe trip back guess that is what count .. Bless day 🙏 ✨️ 🙌

We stopped in after our visit to the Walton's Mountain Museum. We ordered bacon cheeseburgers and fries; they were cooked to order and were very good. The burgers were huge! A very nice family run business. Would definitely go back!

Nice store with everything you could need beer, wine, soda, snacks, dry goods, fresh made sandwiches and pizza. Great to see a family run place. The meatball subs were really good. Will be going back tomorrow for lunch.
I was there today, and we had the Italian cold cut sandwich - very good 😋.

I had a very bad experience at the store I forgot to ask them if I could plug my phone to charge it some since my plug in my car didn't work so I could come in after I cash out on my app she got out of her van walk straight to the plug outlet said to leave and take my phone out of the plug in the man who run the country store seem ok but she I just a very rude lady I will not be doing business with them again price is to high and they charge every time u usee a credit card a fee they have kids selling tobacco I don't know If there a law against it I just I my option don't think it right but that what my beliefs is I know I was very unhappy much business I gave them daily

Just a small store in a super small town. I tried the pizza and it was delicious. Seems this is the only place to get a drink and some food in a town of 300 people haha but they had a good variety of home cooked foods and snacks. I would definitely grab some food here again.

I grew up with the Waltons and thought it was fascinating to be able to see their house! I would definitely recommend this! The tour guide was wonderful with her knowledge and answered all of our questions! The house was so similar to the original!

This home cooking is going to put Mrs. DeSimone, her husband Steve, and their wonderful family on the map. The entire family pitches in to make it a very enjoyable experience. Loved the barbecue chicken with the baked beans and cornbread. Delicious. Can't wait to try their breakfast. We'll be back.

Walton's Mountain Country Store is a nice little store to browse around in. It's full of the Walton's TV show memorabilia including autographed books, antiques and country decor items you can purchase. He also has a lot of Walton recipes you can buy if you like to cook. The gentleman that runs the store is friendly and courteous. He is very helpful and answers any questions you might have. Helpful tips & information: *The store only has parking for 2 maybe 3 vehicles so our suggestion would be to pull onto the little road to the left of the store (church) and park on the side there or leave your vehicle at the museum or the Bed & Breakfast, then walk down, it's not far. Located just on the other side of the Walton's Hamner House. *Do not park or drive on the gravel driveway that's on the right side of the store, it's private property. *He does not allow pictures to be taken inside. *Cell phone service is spotty *This is now just a general store. It is no longer a bed & breakfast. *Spending the day on Walton's Mountain and you're getting hungry? Schuyler has no restaurants or cafe's however just up the road a tad is Ike Godsey's County Store. Now this is a small country store for gas and typical convenience store items such as snacks and drinks but they do have a food menu of items they prepare. We were blown away as far as how delicious our lunch was given the appearance of the store. We just got a few burgers with fries but let me tell you, the burgers were fantastic, even better they were only $6.00! They were not those awful cheap frozen patties. Their burgers are handmade from fresh ground beef. If I had to guess, they were almost 1/2lb. burgers and served on fresh soft kaiser rolls. (I couldn't finish a whole one by myself so if you have children with you, one can definitely be cut in half and shared.) The GPS address for the store is 6597 Rockfish River Road but easy to get there...if you are pulling out of the museum parking lot, turn right and it's just up the road on the left. *GPS address: 6401 Rockfish River Road Schuyler, VA
