I have now had 2 facials with Tochi at Hand and Stone Short Pump. She has been wonderful both times. She is so knowledgeable about skin care and very professional. Cant wait to go back for another. My skin looks great!

I love coming to Hand and Stone. For my massages, I like to see Charlie or Wayne. Both of these lovely people have firm pressure, kind and warm energy, and are pros at working out those extra difficult knots. For my facials, I see Raven. She was my first esthetician here, and I never had any desire to see anyone else after. Her skin analyzing skills are top notch, her energy is calm and relaxing, and I always walk out her room feeling completely refreshed. All the love, team! ??

I like massage envy better to be honest. The staff at H&S didn’t even ask me how my massage was when I handed her tip money for my therapist at the desk. Massage was ok but my therapist talked the entire session, I kinda wanted to relax more.

They were very helpful selecting items for a gift card. Allowed me to put a tip on the card as well.

Where to start? First and foremost, I paid for a 60 minute massage and did not receive what I paid for. I arrived early, was greeted at 5(the time of my appointment) and then taken back to the room and was told to undress and lay on the table. Standard procedure. I did as asked and waited. And waited. At one point I got up because my nose was running and needed a tissue. I noticed the clock and it said 5:10. I got back on the table and waited some more until my massage therapist finally returned. The massage itself was disappointing and uncomfortable. My M.T. hadn’t trimmed her nails and when she worked my neck, her nails scraped my skin and it was very unpleasant. When the massage was done and I got up from the table, I looked at the clock and it was 5:50 PM. My “hour” long introductory rate massage was only about 35-40 minutes.I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this place to anyone after that. I paid for the service and left, but not before they attempted to sell me on their “membership”. I will not be returning.Stay away, the introductory rate is a lie to get you in and you don’t get your money’s worth.

Cat is THE best! Best facial ever. So relaxing and she lets you know exactly what she’s doing so you can relax.

Love, love, love this place. The message therapists are the best, nice and firm. The front desk attendants couldn't be nicer. They really helped me out when my credit card got hacked. Highly recommend.

They have a pretty good membership. I had a service at the Short Pump location and the service was great. She started what seemed a little too soft on the massage, but explained to me needed to loosen up first, and I'm glad she did because it did get intense for me with my knots on my shoulders and neck towards the middle of the service. That was awesome, and she really helped me with my posture in the end by loosening the tension. 5 stars.

The intake survey was pretty intensive, but check-in went smoothly and staff were very thorough with helping us know what to expect overall. What I didn’t expect was the sheet amount of malaise after my massage - I felt like I needed to lay down for quite a while and spent the rest of the day in bed recovering. I’ve never gotten a massage prior to this and didn’t realize this reaction is common. My partner and I received massages to help with some stiff muscles/general back tension from working desk jobs, but we didn’t notice much of a difference (with the exception of me feeling like I was suddenly ill). The massage itself was great during, but unfortunately not something I would find value in doing repeatedly. Also, my partner purchased the couples massage as a gift at another Hand and Stone and was told their purchase covered a tip (paid $140 for a massage + tip). When we arrived we were told the that since we were charged for a $140 massage, and that even though it cost $120 at this Hand and Stone, we would only be able to pay for the massage/tip didn’t apply/no refund for overages was available. So maybe compare rates if you’re going to a different hand and stone and don’t bother trying to include a tip in your gift.
