Horrible customer service. Worse than CVS. I didn't think it could get worse. I called 5x to fill a prescription and every time they pickup and hang up.I got someone cancer medication and they tried to make me take it! Never heard of the Dr. name on prescription and I refused so they were upset. Lol. These people are sad!!Unlike CVS who was never open so you can collect your prescription.

Attempted at least 4 times to contact the Rite aid pharmacy on Benn’s Church Blvd in Smithfield today. I was hung up on at least twice, and no answer before going back to the automated phone response at least twice. I just wanted to take a prescription off “hold” so they could work at filling it for me, as directed on your website. I tried calling several days earlier without success. Now I plan to physically go to the store to ask them to fill the med. This med will probably have to be ordered, so again another delay.I also tried to go through the customer care website given on previous complaints, it is not a valid address per Google. I tried calling the phone number given for complaints, and was unable to get to a person, there wasn’t an option that was valid for complaints.

Concerns when the Pharmacy gave my controlled prescription to someone else who had same date of birth. Why give your license if you aren’t going to check the name? I feel for the person who got my prescription because taking it could hurt them. I was given my prescription after waiting and telling them this is your mistake not mine.Always check your meds. I am going back to CVS, this RiteAid has went down hill and I don’t trust them.

They do not fill prescriptions in a timely manner. Stopped to get my son’s prescription for his diagnosed strep throat at 5PM today and was told it was not ready and they assured me it would be filled before closing. Went into pick it up at 8:45PM, which is 15 minutes before closing, and it was still not filled. I was told it wouldn’t be ready until the next day after 11AM. I would chalk this up to being just a busy night but I have filled 2 prescriptions here in the last 2 months and both were not ready even though I had called it in to refill at least 48 hours before picking it up. It’s very disappointing this pharmacy cannot seem to keep up with the prescriptions they are filling in a timely manner for customers because sometimes medicine is needed in an emergency like with my son’s strep throat. Smithfield really needs to bring in more capable pharmacies for its citizens.

This pharmacy at one time had a dream team, now they don’t have a team at all! Please if you have to get medication in the Smithfield area, do not go to Rite Aid!! They lie, they never have the medication in stock, they are extremely rude, and have no issue with telling you how busy they are and they cannot get to you right now!! I have used this pharmacy for the past 13 years and I have never ever seen it so bad, no one cares anymore about their job obviously!! if you’re reading this do not use Rite Aid in Smithfield!! I’m hoping to hear back from corporate anytime now about the complaints I have from just tonight! I dread using this pharmacy!! Between my wife and i we get 10 scripts a month filled, and I will be taking my business elsewhere after all these yrs!! Sad and disgusting with a lot of disappointment because like I said at one time the were the best around!!

10/14 Update... Gave them the BOTD and again attempted to pick up my scripts they have had for four days. Again, I was told they were not ready, and I could wait behind four other customers who were in the same perdicament. FAILURE!!! I'm still very underwelmed. I just had the doctor's office transfer the three scripts to Kroger next door. .10/12. I'm not impressed at all... pharmacy service is horrible. Coined answers... if you wait for your script, it's 30 minutes. If you leave, it's two hours. It's been two days... no phone call or text that it's ready. Called, "Please hold." This will be the last script we get filled at Rite Aid.

I have spent half my day trying to get in touch with someone at the pharmacy. I’ve been put on hold without any chance to speak 4 times and my call was dropped after waiting 10+ minutes. ALL I need is for the pharmacist to send back a script so I can get it elsewhere. Supposedly the pharmacist isn’t even around? And I’m on hold waiting for this simple task to be done. THEN after 15 min, the pharmacist finally answers and tries to argue with me about how it doesn’t need to be sent back after I’ve already done my due diligence and spoke to the other pharmacy who told me it needed to be so they could fill it. Terrible wait times. Terrible customer service. And a terrible pharmacist with an awful attitude. DO BETTER. There are people out there who would be grateful for these jobs. HIRE THEM.

Am sitting in the parking lot waiting on a prescription that was called in 4 hours ago...one that must be started in 30 minutes for a procedure. When I waded thru the line I had to wait for the clerk to shout out all the flavors of the Smithfield ice cream shop to the pharmacist...and there were quite a few...then listen to the discussion. When I was finally called to the counter I was told i"its not ready! I told him we would text him when it is ready". Let me add this is a jug of prep juice...no pharmaceutical mixing required. I told her it is supposed to be started in 30 minutes....could we transfer it to the other rite aid? She got sharper and said you can have a seat and we will try to have it ready in 30 minutes. THIS is why I moved all my prescriptions to the Rite Aid in Carrollton 4 years ago! My husband unfortunately did not...until I get back home! When I asked the clerk out front if there was a manager I could speak with he said the pharmacist is the manager of the pharmacy and immediately apologized. Its common knowledge evidently.

This pharmacy has staff with a lot of attitude. Its one thing to be busy but another to talk to customers the way they do. The wait times are terrible and you do not feel welcome when you walk in, at all!! Do better!

Went by after a doctor's appointment to pick up a prescription. They asked did we want to wait and I said yes. We did because my lady is sick and she said a half an hour and it only ended up being about 20 minutes. So that was nice.

Unfortunately the turn time at this pharmacy has declined sharply since I started using them a few years ago. Takes days to get prescriptions filled in most cases. When it’s antibiotics or other urgent meds then it’s a real problem. Hope they get the help they need soon

VERY slow, especially the drive through. Takes days to weeks to get script filled. I was contacted by text this morning that my script was ready, drive up there to get it and signs on windows say pharmacy closed and that system is down. Seems like there is a issue every time I deal with them. They could have at least contacted me. Their shelves are empty in the pharmacy department, simple standard items are not stocked. I will be looking for another pharmacy.

Extremely rude, condescending male pharmacy tech he refuse to listen to the customer and when asked his name he hung up the phone . You will get a notification that prescriptions are ready when in fact they are not. This has not always been the case before 2019 this was a good pharmacy now I am afraid to speak to anyone there in fear of how the will speak to me, this is their created hostile bully the customer environment Rite Aid pharmacy employees have created

I dread the days my doctor accidentally sends my prescription to this pharmacy, it is borderline impossible to get these people on the phone. I get hung up on more than half the time before they even say “hello”. I never know when a script will be ready for pickup so I almost always have to wait in line twice hours after I’m told it was being worked on. This happens so consistently now I really wish they would work on this. I’m sure the staff are stressed out and understaffed. Corporate needs to step in and get this place going again.

Rudest people I've ever dealt with. The pharmacy with glasses and dirty blonde hair in her later age is the rudest and nastiest person I have heard her talk about customers and laugh.
