I usually have my favorite professional who does my nails. The last time I spent 200.00 pedicure with French tips and gel then manicure with tips acrylic and French tips on my nails. The last time someone new did my nails and half of my nail was white and they weren't rounded like I asked. I also didn't want them very long due to my job. Also I was cut with the nail grinder three times even though I told him I was in pain. The third time cut into my flesh and drew blood. The next day I showed the owner and he said he would redo it for me. Being diabetic I needed it to heal first before they could fix what was messed up. I came back within 7 days exactly and I was charged an additional 30. This does not count the tip I gave to three different technicians. Even though I was very unsatisfied with my nails. Moreso I was appalled that after all that money I still had to pay extra for messed up nails. I have since bought my own machines and tools to do my own nails. I work too hard to be taken advantage of and also to be compensated or happy about the final decision. I wish I would have remembered to take a pic of the unsatisfactory nails but you can imagine

The tech cut cuticles too close and caused all my fingers to bleed. When I told him it hurt he continued anyway.

Worst experience ever! Left with my cuticles bleeding because he apparently needed to be finished in 20 minutes to resume doing nothing! Every nail is uneven, the acrylic is so thick and lumpy! They didn’t get shaped at all into a nice square tip and look like little fans on the top! I don’t wear tips so this is just an overlay on my natural nails and I’ll find somewhere next week to fix them! Yes it only cost $40 so I guess you get what you pay for!

I just moved to Halifax and have been trying to find a nail salon. My hairdresser recommended Top Nails and told me to request Rose. I was very impressed with her gentleness when I explained to her that I had sensitive feet. Salon was clean. I will definitely be going back.

I haven't been to this local salon in a few years because my last visit was unpleasant.It seems to be under new management.I was warmly greeted by a very nice energetic woman, and was seated right away in a pedi chair. While not pristine, the cleanliness of the salon was passable.The nail tech was efficient, but he was extremely rough.I have fibromyalgia, and diabetes, and the scrubbing, and "massaging" was quite painful. I informed him that I had very sensitive feet, and could he please be gentler, but I don't think he understood me.The same lady that greeted me is the one who did my brows. She did just the bare basic wax with very little tweezing. My brows were left much thicker than I prefer.If anyone in the South Boston area knows of a decent brow waxer PLEASE share the info with me under comments ?All in all the services were basic, nothing to complain about, but nothing special either.Cost for Pedi & Browsbefore tip $44.29

Was able to fit me in. Nails are good. My pedicure was not good. My toes look crazy. The French tip doesn't look professional

Went for a manicure with gel polish. The manicure was rushed and not up to my standards. No wash and lotion massage. However the color was thick and smooth. The facility lacked air flow and cleanliness. If you are looking for a color change or fake set I recommend but not a relaxing full manicure.

Rose is wonderful if you have an ingrown toenail that's giving you pain. Just let her know, and SHE can give your foot RELIEF.
