These people are scammers. Follow me on me Social media. I am exposing them!!!!! I have recorded conversations and documents as proof!!!!! They are rude and disrespectful. Lying about when my car was towed. Pressuring me to contact my insurance company and have them call them. I believe they have committed multiple accounts of insurance fraud. They Tow Cars For Chesterfield Police. They are using their business as a front to defraud victims of crime and others of hard earned money in times of hardship.

This business was highly recommended by a family member.Wells Auto picked up my car around February 10th, 2021. I made it clear that I had an appointment scheduled on Feb 26th to have the car titled so I wanted to know if they could assess the repairs and get me an estimate on the cost before that appointment. I was told it shouldn't be a problem. On my way to the appointment on Feb 26th I called Wells Auto (not having heard from them) and was told they had not had a chance to look at the car in depth yet but it would either need a timing belt or a new engine. We discussed cost and I agreed that either way I would want to get the repairs done and went ahead and titled and insured the vehicle. In March I called again (still not having heard from them) to check on the progress with the car and was informed they still had not taken a better look at the car so he couldn’t tell me yet if it would be the major repair and said he would be getting to it soon and would get in touch with me. He also let me know that he would have to go into the engine with a camera to assess the repair. I was asked for a deposit of $250 and let him know that I would have to make that payment to them on my next payday.I called to give them a deposit of $300 (figuring it was all going to the cost of repairs on my car) on April 8, 2021. At which time I was told they needed to purchase another camera because the one they have is broken. I asked him to call me when they have purchased the camera and have had a chance to look at the car.I called them again around April 15th (still not getting a call from anyone at Wells Auto) and was informed the car would need a new engine. Brian Wells then offered to scrap my car for me because he didn’t feel it would be worth it to put a new engine in it. I told him I would like my car back. He said he would get it delivered to me the following weekend.I called Wells Auto on April 20th asking when I would be getting my car back and was told his father is ill and the only tow truck driver they have so he would have it delivered when his father was back to work.I called Wells Auto on May 5th asking about the return of my car. He asked me if I wanted to pay the towing bill of $150 over the phone. I started to ask what all the $300 deposit I gave him covered and was rudely interrupted. Brian told me that didn’t have anything to do with the towing of my car to and from the auto shop. I paid the $150 and my car was finally delivered back to my house that morning. So, in short, I paid Wells Auto $450 to tow my car to his shop, keep my car for 3 months, and tow my car back to my house. That amount doesn't include the cost of titling and insuring a car that I have never been able to drive. I don’t know about other people, but my time is worth just as much as anyone else’s time. Had I been the reason my car was stuck at their shop for 3 months – I would have probably been charged a storage fee. So why wasn’t some sort of compensation offered for the 3 months of my time that was wasted?I had another mechanic during this time offer to help me just put another engine in the car for a little more money then what I paid Wells Auto, and they did nothing but waste my time and charge me for it.

I was extremely happy with the service I received from Wells Auto Repair. I had a appointment for a state inspection and my car was taken back on time. Great customer service as well. This is my second time coming to Wells Auto and both times I received great service. Highly recommend this place.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Brought my honda Odyssey and Honda Accord. Not only would the owner not return my 5 calls, my vehicle was damaged during the process. A truck broke my mirror and damaged my door handle. Pictures attached. I asked for an email report instead of a phone call and he told me he was ready to wash his hands of me. That's ok, I prefer sanitizer. Luckily there is a great towing service located out of the same building who towed both vehicles back at a reasonable price. I guess this is the price of doing business. Not saying his repairs were bad for my chevy express, but it would be in his best interest to hire a secretary to return calls and relay repair information. Maybe even give appropriate times for how long it may be for a repair or diagnostic. Do not hold your breath for a return phone call. My van and car were there for over 2 months.
