About Lake Anna State Park
Lake Anna State Park offers a great beach area with BBQ grills, tables, and plenty of parking. The lake provides warm water for swimming, paddle boarding, and relaxing, with clearly marked No Wake zones for safety. The park features good hiking trails that are quiet and scenic, perfect for walks with dogs. Amenities include a boat launch, pavilions, playgrounds, and clean bathrooms and grounds. The campgrounds are lovely, with a variety of sites for every kind of camper, from cozy tent areas to others closer together. The bathrooms and showers are updated, cleaned daily, and immaculate. Rangers and staff are pleasant, helpful, and kind. An entry fee is required per car. While the beach can be higher volume, the lake area often remains not overly crowded, especially during the week.

It was an amazing first camping experience for our family! It was nice to see many wildlife along the way.

Beautiful beach area, lots of picnic tables and grills, nice visitors center with knowledgeable ranger on duty (not every day, due to staffing shortages), clean cabins with a water view.
