Stores is cool but owner needs to be involved in discord cause people get very rude thier and no one does anything about it's supposed to be a place for anime and card games revolving around so idk why people wana stir drama

It’s a poorly run store with lack of organization and an Oder problem. Instead of trying to fix the problems the owner just makes excuses and passes the blame. This store will no longer receive my business.

This place is your proverbial hole in the wall and a missed opportunity to promote manga and anime in the Springfield zip code.Most of the reviews resonated with me based on my afternoon, weekday visit. You'll enter this spot with no apparent rhyme or reason to the organization... You might be able to find the cashier buried away in a cove in the front with a price screen with no obvious place to place your items to be purchased.In fact, the deeper I walked in the store, the more I felt like I would end up like Marselus Wallace in the basement with "The Gimp" never to be heard from again. Honestly, the deeper you go in, the more obstructed your line of sight becomes to the light and the outside world. And, if you look around, there wasn't really anything I saw that I couldn't find on Amazon or eBay for comparable prices.But, I love supporting local business, so I picked up this trade manga for the cause.This spot simply looks like a hub to ship from to complete eBay orders. I saw some tables, which made me think they have table game nights, but good luck getting 5 people in there without breaking the fire code. YMMV...go visit, but let people know when you go in case you go missing so someone knows where you might be found.Recommendation for the owners....1) clean and organize and open up the center of the venue to be more appealing 2) get some brighter natural light, paint, and either a tiled floor set up maybe a checkered pattern typical of most comic book shops. Or, get some nostalgic blue rug that brings back the day of video rental, add some music, perhaps a TV, playing something that you sell and make it a welcoming venue that makes visitors interested in manga and anime and want to return.

I've been going to this place for years. They usually have the newest sports cards and always seem to have a massive selection of Pokemon.I think they should reorganize the sports card section. Lower the prices on the old stuff by a lot to clear it out. Empty the glass display, which is useless now. Put higher end product in there and make those products available by the pack. That would be huge. I can't pay $650 for a box, but could pay $75 for part of a box. Would be nice if someone was at the sports card section at least one weekend day a week.The guy that seems to run the place could not be any better. Friendly, knowledgeable.

I'm kind of torn on how I feel about this store. The staff are extremely nice and they had lots of figures and manga that are hard to find, but the store is small and hard to walk through. They had boxes everywhere for new items, but I wonder where it will all go. (They had a van filled with new items that they were bringing into the store.)The thing that killed me me most was the smell. I have no idea what's going on with their bathroom, but the closer I got to it, the worse it got. I'm kind of worried for the box of manga on the floor closest to the bathroom. It would suck to see a classic like yu yu hakusho get destroyed by water or worse. :lJust to be clear, it was the bathroom that smelled horrible, not the staff.

Small store in Springfield but PACKED with manga, figures, tcg, and other various merchandise. I haven't been but they also host TCg events. Great store for all your anime related needs, with a very large manga selection. I always make it a point to stop by when I'm in the area. Just browsing their collection makes me happy. Definitely recommend visiting if your in the area.

I have worked for this store. All one star reviews are insanely accurate.Owner is very disrespectful. The employees of the store are all verbally abused and degraded daily. The assistant store manager is treated the worst. The owner employees high school children and yells at them constantly and makes excuses of a grown man’s behavior. He sets piss poor example of leadership and understanding and lacks the basic skills of effective communication. The appearance of the store speaks to the state of working conditions. Navigating the aisles are just as exhausting as navigating a conversation with the owner. If you go through previous google reviews you will see that said owner is very combative and childish in interaction. This is the lighter review. Spend your money and time elsewhere. I’m more than sure Sam Walton himself whilst even in his grave is more kind understanding and appreciative. Shop at Walmart!Edit: nothing false about this review. His response proves what’s said above. No point in filing anything with the government when you can just quit the job. There’s reviews clearly stating what goes on in the store and how unorganized it is. He should put more attention into the cleanliness of that instead of yelling at Brandon about everything that he has failed to do himself. Those kids that work for you deserve better. Everyone can’t be wrong about this guy. His convention “friends” refer to him as the Asian Jaba the hut. Polarizing even on google. Go clean your store steve! And pay steven the 2k you owe him for the product you kept! Stop yelling at Brandon after you roll around in the bed all morning and come in the store hours late! Be a good human if possible.

A brilliant location. After enjoying anime for quite a while, I finally decided to start reading manga and this place was perfect to begin. The place is small making it exactly what I needed when I was looking for a lot of new things at the same time! The employees had numerous recommendations on a wide variety of genres, and were very passionate to help me start reading. They also had incredible deals on both manga and a Ryuk figure I purchased. I'm certain the next time I'm looking for a new series, this will be the place I go!

Great place for Manga and Trading card games. We go for Pokemon cards! He had a promotion this time for some free items with a Pokemon box. Love that!

Hi, no disrespect I loved the store but for me there was a lot of stuff everywhere, and I have a thing for tight spaces but you also told me y'all were supposed to move but got stuffed on the new building , so my 3 star review wasn't personal it was due to space and moveability in the store.Everything else was perfect ,your discounts were amazing and my Friend and son loved the anime stuff. We will be back and I told friends about your store

Great little hole in the wall with full sets of manga, light novels and other figures. Non-anime stuff as well including card games.

Staff very helpful, but man this store is super disorganized and not very clean. Looks like someone just threw everything in there and called it a day. I couldn't tell what was for sale and what was just storage. Also didn't see prices on basically anything so it was a "I guess I'll see when I checkout". I remember going to the old location and things being a lot better. Honestly I think there are better places to go unless you're just trying to sell stuff.

If you are looking for manga, this is the place to go - it has everything! All the stories you could ever want are there in rows and rows of books. It does not have a huge selection of other merchandise, such as figurines and plushies - but clearly specializes in hard to find manga. The owner is also really helpful if you have questions and tries to get you what you are seeking. I doubt any other place in the area has this depth of merchandise.
