Very unprofessional. Installers were smoking. They tossed the old carpet 4 floors off of the balcony. One installed took off his clothes and was walking around in his boxer underwear with no shirt on. The owner or individual the installers spoke to on the phone told them "Do not to leave until final payment was made because they may be crooks". They also left the hallway full of carpet strands. The entire interaction with these folks was trashy and unprofessional. I WOULD NEVER EVER UHIRE THE AGAIN.

This isn't necessarily about the Harwood floors themselves that were installed but the level of service I received from the installers, primarily Ibis/Elvis, which in retrospect I believe was sexist. To note, had I listened to the MANY "concerns and warnings" of the installer not only would the flooring project have stalled out but I'd be without any of my closet doors. In general, the flooring is adequate although uneven in some places w areas of missing molding. Despite the rest of the staff being extremely polite and assuring me that the installers behavior was uncharacteristic it just wasn't a great experience.

I really hope that anyone considering this company will take a few minutes to carefully read my tale of woe. More than anything, I want to protect others from what I experienced while trying to get a simple floor refinishing performed using Carpetland. Like most people considering a floor refinishing, we had several quotes and numerous discussions both online, and onsite, before deciding on this company. I need to confess up front to not reading their YELP reviews. We had been referred to a different company, with superb reviews, so this was literally a case of mistaken identity. The YELP reviews should have alerted us to our mistake, my bad. Had I caught my mistake, I would have been saved an infinite amount of grief. Fast forward: not only was the wrong stain applied (we had provided a Word Document laying out exactly which color we wanted) but every other aspect of the job was botched, including the trim work. From waves in the floor to improperly applied stain, every aspect of their work is compromised. We just met with a member of the NWFA (National Wood Flooring Association) who has explained to us what went wrong. We are told that what happened basically boils down to two issues: incompetence, and greed. The work was rushed resulting in the stain being applied improperly, and everything else; from the initial decision to not tape the walls, to the incorrect application of the stain, was done with an eye towards maximum profit and minimal effort. Prior to meeting with the hired consultant, we had met with a Carpetland representative to see if we could somehow extricate ourselves from this disaster and were promised some type of resolution in about an hour. This was several days ago, and we have yet to hear back. At this stage we have two choices, replace the floor, which is the only way to get what we paid for, or attempt to salvage this one. Before I go further, you need to understand that this was not cheap, $5,300 for 1000 sq. ft. We even paid extra for Bona Traffic HD. After carefully laying out what we expected, we wound up with a floor so ugly, so completely messed up, that I find myself at a loss for words. Their workmanship is so bad, other companies are actually requiring a waiver before they will touch it. Do yourself a favor, before hiring this firm, do a bit more research. There are other companies out there with well-earned reputations for quality, this isn't one of them. If you do make the mistake of hiring this firm, you can expect things to turn out just as ugly as our floors. I will be adding pictures

Poor customer service. They won't even entertain new business without a down payment. That does not make any sense.

Bought new, 'high-end' carpet from them a couple years ago. It was supposed to be very plush, stain resistant, etc. but showed large mystery spots and visible wear within a couple of months (and not from heavy use or abuse). Also had issues with installation and they had to return to try and fix. Very disappointed all around.

Unfortunately wasn't the best fit. They did a measurement, and provided a quote for laminate. Overall, they were okay. However, we arrived to finalize the contract, no one was there even though it was still within their business hours. They decided to close the store to do a measurement. Meanwhile the sample that we selected was still in the trunk of a sales associate. So that tells me their selection isn't complete.

Ok- to start with, the installation was great. Momo installed my carpet runner in about 3 hours-very efficient and following health protocols. But Sam is shady. I asked about using the 10% coupon from Yelp for my job. He then made up a story saying I had already asked for a reduction because I told him the quote was too expensive. He told me he had gone to his manager and had come down already so I could not use the coupon. Lies and all made up. Then he told me that it was too bad I didn't remember. So now not about the coupon- but about the fact that he isn't honest. Beware.

This review is for carpet we purchased and had installed almost 2 years ago. Sam was the sales representative I dealt with, and was very professional and patient - helping to show me several options within my budget. I was a little nervous using a business I had no referrals for, but this ended up being a surprisingly satisfactory experience. I received a quality carpet at a lower price than was quoted from many other installers. No issues with the install team - they were efficient, professional, courteous, and left my new carpeted basement spotless. This was the least stressful part of a larger kitchen and basement remodel following a major household flood.

I couldn't be happier with my purchase from Sam at Carpetland. Sam worked patiently with me on design and a price within my budget. The two workers (Aldo and Jeffrey) who came to my home for installation were the utmost professionals. They did an excellent job installing the runner on our curved stairs and they made sure to clean up well. Highly recommended!

Great place to buy hand made rugs. Owner is a very nice person as well. Be aware that handmade rugs are not as durable as the machine ones.

Did a amazingly clean job installing a runner on my staircase, which is pie shaped on top and bottom. Very professional work, extremely clean finished product.

Carpetland did a great wood floor install. Their materials were ordered on time and their contractors were skilled and fast. We saved some money pulling up the old carpet and prepping the floors. They have a nice selection of products and were knowledgeable about them.
