Went with a friend today and he had a $20 coupon from a prior purchase. DSW has them all the time and usually it's no big deal. Except for today - when he paid for his shoes and handed the cashier the coupon she felt the need to roll her eyes and chuckle. I guess shame on us for being plebs in the dc area.

Jan 11,2024 @ 7:19 pm… I spent about an hour looking for shoes. Found a pair of Clark’s I liked and wanted to find a pair of walking shoes/ sneakers. I went up to the register @7:19 pm asked if there was someone on the floor who can help me find a shoe. Young female cashier said No we are in the closing staff mode. So what time do you close 8pm.. so apparently NO one could assist me . Just WOW never had such bad customer service and out right said No we can’t help you before

Came here last week to pick out some fall boots, I had the pleasure of working with a gentleman name Mumin. He went out of his way to order my size since they didn’t have it in stock, he was very professional, kind and personable. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE MUMIN!!!

I shopped Springfield location for the first time around 11:15 AM Thursday July 27. I am a retail department manager, btw. I picked out the shoes I wanted, yes, you had my size in stock and approached check-out. I was in a slight hurry but that shouldn't even matter. There was a couple in front of me who were taking more than a few minutes going over discounts, applied coupons, etc. There was only one person at the registers. The gentleman saw me waiting, making eye contact acknowledging my presence. He was doing his best... This couple had no clue they were holding up the line. Another staffer saw this, came up front, put down whatever he was working on, opened up another register and got me out of there in a prompt fashion. At this point the first couple had finally finished their transaction and the staffer commented appropriately in regards to my wait. Please recognize those two associates who demonstrated teamwork, a sense of urgency and genuine caring for my business. They may not even recall the incident, but I sure did. Not even the best product sells itself, service sells the product. Keep it up!

RECOMMEND DSW: Yes, with the caveat to shop their website/ app for a much better selection of shoes / sizes. The option to return online orders to the store makes DSW a great retailer to work with.LOCATION: Easy freeway access, Free parking, with dining & a retail center nearby. Metro station is accessable by foot for some, but You may prefer to Uber between the station & the store.STAFF: Friendly, professional , & very helpful across our years of visits.PRODUCTS: Wide selection of footwear, however your specific sizing needs maybe hit or miss onsite.As noted above, I recommend DSW's website/app over this store.I often find this location will have plenty of Men's sizes 11-13, but 8-9 are generally out of stock. I find it strange... they recognize sizes 8-9 generally sell out, but don't/won't adjust their stock accordingly.
