Unprofessional Staff, trash service, Zero Accountability â Avoid This Location!
I had an extremely frustrating experience on August 1st around 6:40â6:50 PM with two employees who were both rude and unprofessional. I arrived to pick up my online order (which I had received confirmation was ready), only to be told by a tall black light skin woman wearing a cap, with tattoos and a ponytail, that âthe order wasnât picked up in the time frame so it was sent back.â I explained that I had been there the previous week and their staff couldnât find the order at that time. Her response? âI donât know what to tell you â call customer service.â
No apology. No effort to make things right. Just dismissiveness and attitude.
On top of that, another black woman employee â shorter, with light skin, glasses, heavyset and also very rude and unprofessional â didnât even greet me at the register. She just stared at me without saying a word.
Both of these employees clearly lack customer service training. Iâve had enough patience, but this location needs serious attention from upper management. Wasting my time and energy without even an ounce of accountability is unacceptable.
Corporate: fire these two workers since they consistently show this level of disregard for customers and can not even greet customers

Very bad service. The cashier was very arrogant and answered me very rudely when I asked her about the shoes I wanted to buy for my children and she yelled at me rudely. I should change the staff. Very bad service and her attitude leaves a lot to be desired from that store. No one is going to buy it like that. You don't lose anything. I left her ignored and went to buy at another store.

Where do I even start. Ordered a pair of shoes online for pick up! Call them for 24 hours no one picks up because I noticed my order wasnât being filled. Basically no one is doing their job! Then I get to the store and they only have one shoe and tell me I have to wait 30 mins for a refund thatâs going to be a store credit! I want my money back not a store credit! I call corporate twice to be lied to about them giving me a refund! Itâs been 4 days no shoes no refund no nothing! Save yourself the stress of this horrible place cuz the store sucks and corporate is just as bad if not worse! Never again will I ever use this business again!

Ordered shoes online only for them to be the wrong type. Called the store to help speed up cancellation they were automatically rude from the beginning, then proceed to tell me the order was already fulfilled and I have to wait 15 plus days for the refund when I know thatâs false because customer service said something completely different. Learn to do your jobs. This is a warning to other people donât do online order/ pickup with this company. They will try and keep your money. Also they told me they would get me to a manager and then one of the store associates impersonated one. After explaining everything they said the manager would call me back. And I have still not gotten any response. Order was placed 3/22.

I had a great experience. I came in just before closing on a weekday to exchange something that was damaged. I asked questions and for help finding sizes and the cashier was responsive and helped go through back stock to look. I asked to try on some items and wasnât rushed or reminded of the time. I ended up adding extra items to my exchange and then asked if the carried size 15 in Jordanâs at the register. The manager (Mikaela) didnât just answer yes or no but actually remembered she had seen a size 15 in the latest drop and went back there to grab it. Keep in mind it already after 9pm. I asked to the same question at another dtlr location and the cashier just said âsometimesâ and that was that. I tried on the shoes and bought them and really appreciated the effort. I only came for an exchange and left with two huge bags and a smile on my face. Customer service matters.

0 Stars. Came here to get a hat around 2:20 I was ignored when I entered the store and wasnât offered any kind of help. When I asked the male employee there a question about a product his response wasnât helpful nor kind. The one male and one female employees there just had a bad attitude. Why work in retail if you donât want to help customers purchase retail products.

As a dedicated online sneakerhead, Iâve rarely ventured into physical storesâmainly because DTLR locations were never conveniently located near my home. That changed recently when I needed to return an item, leading me to discover this gem of a store. The experience was nothing short of exceptional.
Upon entering, my daughter and I were warmly greeted by three enthusiastic employees. Now, this may seem like a small thing, but to me, itâs a dealbreaker. If a store can't be bothered to acknowledge my presence, I canât be bothered to spend my hard-earned money there.
Thankfully, this wasnât an issue at DTLR. The store manager, Rian, not only assisted with the return but also took the time to engage with my daughter, helping her navigate the latest trends with a level of expertise that only a true sneaker aficionado possesses. Rian's knowledge of both classic retros and the latest styles was impressiveâthis is someone who knows their kicks!
What truly stood out, though, was a situation that unfolded while we were in line to purchase my daughterâs choice, the gray New Balance 9060s. Ahead of us was a âKarenââan entitled customer who was determined to return an item without a receipt. She was subtly rude, layering her complaints with hidden insults. Rian handled the entire situation with an almost zen-like calm, maintaining her professionalism and composure throughout what felt like an endless 20 minutes.
I was frustrated by the delay but couldnât help feeling a sense of pride as I watched Rian navigate the interaction. As a mother raising Black daughters, I seize every opportunity to teach them about grace under pressure. Living as a Black person in America often means having to work twice as hard to be recognized, while being mindful that expressing anger can result in being unfairly judged. Rian exemplified the kind of professionalism and poise I hope to instill in my daughters.
Rianâs handling of this situation, as well as her interactions with customers of various backgrounds, was a masterclass in customer service. She treated every individual with the same respect and enthusiasm, proving that sneaker culture transcends race, size, and shape.
Because of Rian, DTLR has earned a loyal customer for life. Her professionalism hasnât gone unnoticed, and itâs truly appreciated. Every employee should strive to reach the high standard that Rian sets.

While at dtlr in Springfield Mall I had a excellent experience at this store Rian and chyna are excellent associates who helped me with my shopping this was a really good experience.

Nice shop! Definitely has quite a bit of urban wear. You can find some pretty decent prices on shoes but donât expect a lot of sizes of the latest. They sell out quick if itâs a just released Jordan 1 OG high.

I had such a great experience here at the Springfield location. Rian was awesome. I am such a difficult shopper and she was super patient with me. She ran back and got every shoe that I asked for. She has great customer service and I will always come back and spend my money here.Thanks again for making me a priority!

It was definitely pumping out drip. They gas a nice selection of hats and kicks. The colors were popping. It is definitely for a younger crowd to wear, not my style altogether, but if it was single and younger with no kids , it would be my spot to shop.

This place was horrible. I wish I could give it no stars. The cashiers was extremely rude. They Did not offer assistance and we had to find everything on our own. They did not even greet us while we were in the store. Had their own private conversations which was not job related. As we asked questions their response was so unprofessional and the looked they gave was not okay. Why work and treat people this way?Maybe the CEO need to have training on customer service or communication or maybe all. But they were extremely unprofessional. Not okay.
