I went into this salon as a walk-in because I was busy and have been having a hard time finding a good place. Omar, Lucy, and Anne were amazing! Omar, the stylist, is warm, kind, and knew exactly what my hair needed. The haircut gave me a much needed refresh. The cherry on top is that the cut is very affordable compared to most salons. I will definitely be coming here again!

I went here for a curly shag hair cut. I was assigned to Jack and showed him the pictures. He said yes , yes I can do that. I told him not to take to much off the length because it wasn’t much longer than the picture. He responded “ I know I know. While he’s cutting my hair he is more concerned about what is going on in the salon and leaves and comes back several times. By the time he was done I had been there for two hours and my cut looked nothing like the picture. What I have is a curly bob.I was so upset because it takes for ever for my hair to grow back. But I do not like to draw attention to myself so I paid and left very upset for $92.

Had the worst haircut with Shawnna. I asked her to not cut it too short in the front near my face. Not only did she do just that, but the right side is an inch SHORTER than the left side. I'm so embarrassed. It looks terrible! I rarely write bad reviews, but others need to know. Don't waste your time or money with Shawnna.

Lauren is the BEST. Her attention to detail is fantastic and she makes sure I leave happy with healthy hair. I do full Blonde highlights and haircut with her and I get so many compliments. She’s my girl!!!

I’ve been going to Shawna for my past two haircuts, and I keep coming back for a reason! She’s passionate about what she does and truly understands curly hair. Every time, she leaves my curls looking even better than before. I always leave the salon feeling confident and refreshed. Highly recommend her if you’re looking for someone who really knows how to care for curls!

Had my hair cut by Shawnna last year, and it was fabulous! I watched her do two haircuts before mine, and I was stunned by how well she transformed and brought out all of our curls. I’ve never had good short hair, and I loved it while it lasted. Going back for another cut today!

I have long hip length, natural AA hair and often don’t feel like washing my own hair. I came in for a quick wash and it was great. The stylist washed it several times and gave a good massage. She also put some oil in it after it dried a bit. It was very economical! I’ll probably do this more often.

I got a deva cut by Shawnna here about a month ago. I explicitly asked her to only cut an inch off of my length, and showed her a picture with only a couple layers in the hair here and there, nothing crazy. She proceeded to cut layers EVERYWHERE, and cut so many layers in the back of my hair that it looks like a birds nest no matter what I do with it. She also cut off about 5-6 inches of my hair length. Completely unhappy, and not at all what I had asked for. She is very knowledgeable with curly haircuts, but be warned that she will cut off a lot of hair and not follow reference pictures. Paid a lot for my hair to be ruined.

First time at Frizzle and had a great experience. My hair stylist was Jack and he prioritized the health of my hair while also giving me the highlights I was looking for. My friend actually recommended him so she and I have both had positive experiences!

Disappointing and unfortunately not the natural look I was going for. I got a root smudge a week later (which cost an extra $50), it helped a bit but still not great. Everyone was very nice but I would not come back and am going to have to pay to have this fixed at another salon.

I really wanted to like this place because I saw that I had good reviews online. When I got there I had my hair washed by an older woman, and she was very, very sweet.
I did start to notice there were a lot of older Middle Eastern men just hanging out in the lobby seating area, seeming to have conversations with those that work there, but definitely didn’t have any appointments, as they were still there when I was done. That seemed a little strange.
Once I was brought over to the older man that cut my hair, he kept commenting on how fine my hair was and how I didn’t have a lot of hair, making me feel really insecure, which I’ve never been before.
The haircut turned out OK, but the styling made me look like I was wearing a large helmet, akin to a 90s mom haircut.
On the way out of the salon, the man that cut my hair said “I’ll see you in six months if your hair even grows enough”, and then laughed.
When I got home, my husband saw me and wondered what happened to my hair. It was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a salon and I’m usually pretty low maintenance.
I don’t ask for much when getting my hair cut. I just wanted to trim, but I wasn’t expecting to get belittled.

I’ve been going to Frizzles for about 15 years, and Niaz @hairaffairbyniaz has been my stylist for over a year. Niaz is amazing!!! She’s extremely talented in both cut and color. She consults with you to make sure you’re getting the look you want within your specified budget. I’m always super happy with my hair and get lots of compliments :) The salon itself is top-notch, and they have the best coffee EVER!
