Went here to get some sand blown out my laptop, and the guy broke and damaged the bottom of my laptop. It’s a month later and I’m still working with a manager to get a repaired.
Edit: this happened in may and it is now July and nothing has happened.

The Geek Squad here is quite scammy. They are indeed polite unlike at the Alexandria location but the tech person here tries to upcharge you on everything. He won’t take no for an answer if you decline the Best Buy Total membership. I finally relented to his pressure to get it and then decided to cancel after a few minutes. He then proceeded to sneakily print out an itemized refund receipt for me but NOT process the refund through my bank, thus double charging me for both the membership and the individual service, thus charging me $340 for a $99 service. The entire experience was reminiscent of buying a car, the way car salesmen and this geek squad tech both try to swindle you.

Geek squad was supposed to be at my house yesterday. They never showed up - no email no text. Couldn’t get them on the phone because all phone calls do is continually talk about how great Best Buy is and you never talk to a human. They told me to text . I texted. They said they’d be back in a few minutes. It’s been five hours. I had to drive back to the store. They told me the repair man called in sick yesterday. They said they should’ve contacted me by text or email that didn’t happen. So frustrating. I’m curious to see if they show up at the next appointment time.

Complete breakdown in customer service in that Best Buy/Geek Squad will waste your time by encouraging you to book an appointment for a service they know they can't provide. If I attempt to book an appointment for a replacement battery for an I-Phone 11 Pro, and I type these information into their scheduling app, but they don't carry such batteries (despite their website saying they carry I-Phone batteries) and they have no idea if, or when, they will EVER have I-Phone batteries in stock, you WOULD THINK, their scheduling software would flag this. One would hope a store that CARES about its customers would notify the customer they are out of stock of the repair part and cannot perform the requested service so that the customer's time of 1-2 hours is not wasted by making a fruitless trip to the store only to be turned away. Right? BestBuy is supposed to be all about technology. Surely you can update your scheduling app and do better BestBuy. If you can't handle such a simple feature, why should customers trust you with ANY type of technology?

I had an interview here. So I went and the manager was on break. They made me wait 30 minutes and the manager still didn’t come. I wouldn’t recommend this Geek Squad at all.

Dante was amazing! I bought 2 laptops and needed them fixed right away. He could have made me wait until Monday to fix it, but he was kind enough to get me in right away. He was able to upgrade and fix the same day. He was very polite and knowledgeable.

If I could give it -5 stars I would. How can the be an authorized service provider of Apple when they can not provide any actual service beside a couple of diagnostic scans. The fault is also partly on Apple for choosing such a poor partner for their service. If you need help with an Apple device just go through the pain of going to an Apple store and avoid this place.

Literally the worst customer service of any Best Buy I have ever encountered. I waited on the phone for 20 minutes to speak to someone before finally hanging up. I called back and could hear the person on the other end of the phone transfer my call back to the main desk instead of just answering my call. Amount of time I spent on the phone waiting: approx 45 minutes. The amount of help I received: none.
