BEWARE. I went to this Springfield store and bought a beautiful cake for a birthday. I tell the checker.. 'I'll hold it and you scan the bottom. She grabs the whipped cream cake and flips it over and scans it ! The cake is ruied! I tell her to get me another one. She says 'go to customer service...????? What the heck? She didn't speak or understand English! This person should have been fired on the spot! As for the manager, they were 'busy'.. ???? This place doesn't give a darn! It should have been closed long ago. I ask this... I may not be fond of Giant stores but why do I consistently have problems at the Keene Mill store? The others aren't a dungeon like this store. If you want to buy from Giant that's fine but aviod this store!

Someone who i had just met had found a phone. I agreed to find the phone's owner. When I spoke to one of that person's contacts, we agreed to meet at this Giant. That person was delayed, and I couldn't wait any longer so Dawnn, a manager at this location, said she would wait for that person. Thanks, Dawnn! You're awesome!

We used to love Giant food, but in the last few years, they seem to have forgotten the clientele who shop there. There are a lot of Jews in our neighborhood, and it's very difficult to get holiday items in time, if at all. This wasn't always the case. We seem to have been forgotten or overlooked. Now when the holidays come around, they seem to just put everything out there, and hope that maybe some of it might apply. It's like throwing a bunch of spaghetti and meatballs at a wall to see what sticks. Also, on a day-to-day basis, they have been very careless with their groceries. For instance, in June, I bought three large clear trays of eggs, each containing two and a half dozen. Each tray contained at least three broken eggs. I brought them in and exchanged them, and I thought that this was a one-off, since I have been buying these trays of eggs for a few years. Every now and then, as I was passing the aisle, I would check the egg trays to look for damage. If I found some, I would bring it to the attention of one of the staff nearby. Last week, I picked up another tray and checked the bottom, looking for cracks, and not seeing any, I purchased one. When I got home, I found three eggs stuck to the insides of the tray, due to minor cracks in the shells. I was disgusted, but I did not go back to return them. I'll have to change my egg buying habits. Also, what's with not having any more fresh seedless rye bread?

Everytime I go to this store, the employees are watching me and following me like I’m going to steal something. After reading the other reviews, I’m not the only one who feels this way.

Is there any sort of consensus that the self checkout system at this store is the worst? You can’t move a bag or relocate an item within it causing an error. Try to scan a fruit? Needs assistance for that. Takes about 15 minutes to check out because the system breaks so often and the attendants are busy. Can we just go back to having check out stands manned by humans! Or make self checkout less sensitive.

The pharmacy staff goes above and beyond for their clients and are excellent professionals and empathetic people. We went to seek a medication that my grandmother desperately needed, but that the retirement home couldn’t fill until Monday (and it was Sunday). We had an electronic prescription but the pharmacy needed either a wet signature or to speak to the prescribing doctor. Pharmacist Michelle Shin and her staff called the doctor numerous times, trying to negotiate with rude medical staff to obtain the prescription. (The medical staff was so rude they even hung up on the Pharmacist at one point!) The pharmacy team was persistent, helpful, worked with us to find a solution and were eventually able to fill the prescription. I am so grateful to Michelle Shin and her amazing team!

One of the local supermarkets that actually have more than the basics. Not as pricey as Whole Foods, buts its nice, employees extremely friendly and quick.

I’ve been in here 3 times now and typically avoid this Giant at all costs. Every time I walk in I immediately start freezing as the store is super cold. This 3rd and final time I couldn’t even complete my shopping as I was shivering uncontrollably.
