if i could give this zero stars i would. i have been growing out my hair for quite so time and with school picture day coming up i wanted som layers. i called to make sure this was possible and when i got there i showed my stylist an inspo photo ( shown below) she told me she could do that and i told her i did not want much hair cut off length wise if that was possible which again i was told that would be fine. It is now almost to my jawline. I also told her i wear my hair in a middle part at the end of the cut she flipped it to a drastic side part which i was confused but i knew i would change it when i got in the car. I walked out knowing it was shorter than i wanted but i knew it would grow back. when i got home i washed and blowed dried my hair only to look at it and see it was completely botched and uneven. I am in tears because it is so bad i cannot go out in public. i have school pictures next week and i was really excited. I would not advise you to ever go here.

Angela took her time to make sure my hair looked and felt great. I have gotten so many compliments after she cut and styled my (thick) hair!

I was publicly humiliated by the stylist JEANNE in front of other customers this week. The stylist was very inappropriate and made a lot of unflattering, racial-driven comments towards me about ethnic people and their hair. Everyone’s hair is different, yes, but there’s a way to talk about the complexities of hair in a much more professional, not racist way.
She did NOT touch my hair at all or take the time to look at my hair (she didn’t even have me sit down in a chair and just stood behind the register counter). She immediately began making a lot of negative comments about my hair and appearance in front of AND to other customers. She began comparing me to other customers in the store that was incredibly embarrassing, still WITHOUT even taking the time to look or touch my hair. She did not listen when I tried to tell her anything.
She never left from behind the counter, except when she tried to sell me products that I had to tell her I already have and use. I ended up having to tell her that if she was not comfortable doing my hair, that was all she had to say.
When I started to leave, she immediately started talking to another customer and continued to make unsavory comments about me for me to hear. I’m sure she was embarrassed that I kept correcting her when she would make comments and assumptions about me, but this was very unacceptable behavior for a business.
It worked out considering Jeanne told me she hasn’t highlighted hair in over 4 years, which is concerning in itself, since that was what I was coming in for.
I ended up going to another salon and had a completely different, positive experience. The other salon had no issues with my hair, which would have been the case with Jeanne if she had actually listened and took the time to actually look at my hair.
If I could give zero stars following my experience, I would.

I wish i could select zero star, I went to this salon for the first time and had an appointment at 5:00 PM. I arrived early to be on time, but the stylist who was supposed to do my blowout wasn’t there. Another lady told me she was running late. I explained that I had a party and needed to leave by 6:00 PM. They started my blowdry around 5:15 PM, and then the original stylist, whose name was Jenny or Jennifer, arrived. Unfortunately, she seemed too old and shaky to handle my hair properly. She was mostly talking and struggling to even brush my hair. I kindly emphasized that if she wasn’t comfortable, I could go somewhere else. I ended up leaving at 5:45 PM without my hair done. I have no complaints about her personally, but the salon should be more mindful about who they assign for services and supervise their work. My time was completely wasted.

Stewart desperately needs some type of update. Stopped in to buy some men shirts, couldn't find anything suitable. Selection on just about everything is diminished. When I first walked in the door I thought to myself are they closing?

I had a unwelcoming experience with the lady that works in the photo office. She is very unprofessional and not very informative about the services. I had to cancel my appointment for a family picture because of this and I will NEVER go there again.

I decided to get my hair done at the JcPenny salon in Springfield Mall and loved my experience. My stylist name was Kenya. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. By the time I left Kenya's chair, I had a new stylist and a fresh, bouncey new hair style. Will definitely go back again.

Lines are long due to them only putting 1 cashier maybe 2 but you can have up to 4 at the counter. Sales associates are extremely rude especially downstairs. You ask a question & they send you in the wrong direction. Upstairs the staff seemed customer service friendly. The cashier name NATALIE was very polite & she even offered to get the manager. I explained to her that I didnt want to hold her line up. **The is for Ms. NATALIE** **I WILL NOT BE SHOPPING HERE AGAIN***

This store won't be around much longer at the rate they're going. They're working with a skeleton crew, all but one dressing room closed and the one that was open was run by a woman that barked orders at every person that walked in ("Hey, make sure you put your clothes back on the rack when you come out!" No "hello" or manners). One checkout line on each floor w/ a line a mile long for each. We waited in line for 10 minutes and in that time only one person ahead of us (out of 8?) was checked out. Everyone around us was complaining and fed up. We left our stuff and walked out, I don't have time for that nonsense and rude customer service.

Absolutely Amazing Rachel Bilyeu is an amazing colorist/ stylist!! 25 years of experience!! She did an excellent job at coloring my hair exactly how I wanted with 5 different colors!!Services: Shampoo & conditioning

I had stopped visiting the salon for years of last-minute cancellations, lack of hairdressers and bad customer service. I decided to go back to appointments, and my experience has been worse. I come in, and they tell me that Angela is booked. Then they finally asked me to return two hours later, and still confused, they said she was booked. Another day, I made an appointment for today. Someone confirmed last night, only to receive a text two hours before my appointment from Angela to reschedule for Monday. I made the appointment for today because I need it. Why would you res reschedule for Monday? Those two Hispanic girls are very irresponsible. I will never, ever, for as long as I live in this area, recommend or make another appointment in this salon. It is evident that Angela works for pleasure and has no passion for her work.Service: Shampoo & conditioning

Yoooooo!! This is the worst JCP everrrr! Lol but seriously. I don't really shop at JCP, and honestly I'm surprised that they are still open. I ONLY purchase things online and come to pickup. Every single time I come in here to pick up my item(s) there is only one person working, with no more than 2-3 ppl in line but it's suuuuper long. The employees move HELLA slow. Stir clear if you can, or better yet, just have your items shipped to you. God be with you if you have to come to this location for anything! LOL

This was my 1st time as a client at JC Penny salon. Saba was my stylist and she was excellent! She was very thorough and professional. I'm definitely returning as a client of hers!
