I love Michael's. I also appreciate being able to shop unimpeded with clerks lingering around. I was able to take my time to find the yarn that I wanted to crochet with, finding new crochet hooks, crochet needles for sewing projects together, and locating all of the charms for the bracelets I've made for myself, my daughters, my friend who came with me, and her kids.
Checkout was a breeze, although I think the only issue I had was the last time I was there, I placed all of my items in a strategic pattern from least expensive to the most expensive. I had them all lined up on the counter to scan and some middle aged clerk took it upon herself to come over to grab all of my items to scan them herself. This annoyed me. So much so that I started to just walk out with buying anything when I had a little over $150 worth of items on the counter and paid for everything single one of them each and every time I go into that store or any other Michael's for that matter. I'm fine with self checkout. In fact, I prefer self checkout and not having people touching all of my items. They were already touched previously by the clerk who had to take them to the counter for me. I spend hundreds of dollars on crafting items because I love my hobbies of crocheting, beading and jewelry making, sewing fabric into something nice and obtaining other embellishment items for sewing, wood burning projects, and more. Outside of that one lady, I otherwise had fun perusing and shopping in the store.

Great sales, I was approached several times by sales associates asking if I needed anything. Quick checkout.

This was my first time at the Michaels in Springfield, and I was really impressed. The store was clean, well-organized, and had a great selection. They were running some big discounts, which made it even better—we ended up finding some great items for our son. Overall, a smooth and pleasant shopping experience. I’ll definitely be back!

Good chain store that cover your basic arts-and-crafts needs, event and seasonal decor, and custom or standard framing as well.
Overall prices are comparable to online or other stores, some better, the same, and some higher.

Today I went into Michael's in Springfield and was walking around trying to decide what cute things I could do for my daughter and her friends on prom on the 26th, I noticed I was walking around I noticed this young man probably 30 years younger than me following me around kind of playing with stuff barely working following me around the whole store, if someone had to just ask me if they could help me they would have found out what I was doing but no one did they just thought I was going to steal something. I'm an older woman with a good job, I don't need to steal. It's so rude they just make a judgment, it's sad it really is. I'll never go back to the Michaels in Springfield never. I love the one on Route 1 in Alexandria they're the greatest Michaels but the one in Springfield never again never I'm noticed that store is never busy that's probably why they make people feel uncomfortable. Maybe they need some training on how to ask somebody if they need help then they would know what somebody's doing wondering around their store and stop just assuming things.

Terrible Customer Service at Springfield Michaels, purchased an item that was defective, store manager refused to accept return because I did not have original packaging (had all parts of course). Called customer care by phone and they EASILY got me sorted with a refund. Sad to see local stores run by incompetant and unempathetic managers.

I enjoy going to this Micheal’s. The store is always well stocked. The store has great deals. The bathroom is absolutely disgusting. The worst restroom ever. Dirty fixtures falling off the walls doors don’t work broken toilets just gross.

I recently visited Michael's and was thoroughly impressed by the experience! The store boasts an extensive selection of arts and crafts supplies, from paints and canvases to scrapbooking and DIY kits. Everything is neatly organized, making it easy to locate exactly what you need for your creative projects.
The staff at Michael's are exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly. They were more than happy to offer suggestions and creative tips, ensuring I found the perfect supplies for my project. The overall ambiance is inspiring—a true haven for anyone who loves to craft.
Overall, my visit to Michael's was both enjoyable and inspiring. Whether you're a seasoned artist or just starting out, Michael's is a must-visit destination for quality supplies and excellent service.

I love having a go-to craft store where the employees aren’t just knowledgeable but genuinely passionate about crafting. My two “crafties” absolutely love this place, and every visit is a fun and inspiring experience. On our most recent trip, Gio went above and beyond by recommending the perfect type of yarn for a project and even suggesting great patterns to go with it. It’s so refreshing to shop somewhere where the staff truly understands and enjoys what they do. A fantastic spot for any craft enthusiast :)

Sadly, this is the worst Michaels by far. Customer service is a 0 and the store was the most confusing, not like any other one layout. Recommended ordering online or just avoiding the company all together now.
