Staff were attentive and helpful! Lobby could be better arranged tho, especially to allow guests to exit after seeing the teller without having to brush past other guests waiting in line.

I ordered a cashier check online and went to the branch to pick it up. The time was around 1230. I was greeted and checked in by Kimica. She told someone would help me shortly. After waiting several minutes I overheard a disagreement between Kimica and another employee in regards whose responsibility it was to disburse thecheck. Neither of them considered the customer needs. My time is valuable and was wasted because of this disagreement. After the two parted ways, I don't have my check and Kimica takes her disagreement to another employee. Needless to say I am not happy. The purpose of pre ordering the check was negated by this procedural breakdown. I finally get my check disbursed after waiting much to long for a check to be printed. Usually this check is printed by the front desk and it was not too busy today for the task to be done by Kimica as she argued her position to others. I have been a member for more than 10 years and truly appalled by today's events. Thank you.

We've been members for almost 10 years. It's a good feeling dealing with friendly employees who know their business. We know and trust their advice as they have helped us many times with the decisions. They are, to us, the best Credit Union.

I have been with NFCU for a few years now I have had several negative experiences with them . I went in to the Springfield Branch to make a cash payment for my car loan . I handed the teller my money , she counted it and very rudely said you don`t have the proper amount for the car payment . I said you need to recount the money , there are some$50.00 dollar bills in that stack . She recounted the money and said oh I didn`t notice that there were 50s in the stack , it was clear, she was not paying attention when she counted the money . I directed her to deposit it into my car loan account for payment . I assumed she did as she was directed to , however a few weeks go by and I get a LATE notice for my car payment ! I returned to the same Branch of NFCU in Springfield to find out what why I got a late notice for my car payment , that same teller , who couldn`t count money , also did not listen , she put my car payment funds into my checking account , NOT my auto loan account as I directed her to do , so my car payment was NOT paid !!! I spoke to the supervisor there , told her about my unfortunate experience with the teller weeks before . I relayed my experience and suggested the teller go through training again due to the fact she cannot count money , she does not appear to know the system , cannot follow directions or cannot hear . The new supervisor informed me she was there at that branch due to a lot of issues with that branch . My next incident involved a major loss of my funds due to a scam that involved my checking and savings accounts . I lost over $14,000.00 in a scam that NFCU could have stopped had the rep been more attentive . This type of transaction was way out of my financial character . Friends tell me their banks ask questions when they do transactions that are non-typical , this was clearly not typical for me . l feel like NFCU completely dropped the ball on this transaction , causing me to lose over $14,000.00 .One would think with so much fraud , they would have asked a question or two , to verify why I was transferring such a large sum of money to a place totally uncommon for me . Not to mention , when I asked the representative if she could see where a specific sum of money had been deposited in to my checking account , she said yes , but she failed to tell me (or ask me ) , why I didn`t know the funds came from my own savings account , that would have stopped everything right then and there , this scam transaction could have been thwarted had they asked why I didn`t know my money came out of my savings account .The funds were supposed to have been deposited by the scammers into my savings account . Even when were trying to get the transaction to go through it took 4 different NFCU employees to get it to go through , which should have thrown a red flag . As soon as I got back home I checked my account , realized I had been scammed , NFCU was closed . I tried to call the many numbers they have , but no one could assist me. As soon as the doors opened the next morning I went back to the branch and told them what had happened . It was then , they told me there was nothing they could do since I only have 30 minutes to cancel a wire transaction . I filed a complaint within NFCU , after several weeks of investigating , my funds were reinstated to my checking account with a " pending " status . I waited for the "pending " status to be removed , assuming everything was fine , I moved my funds back to my savings account . WEEKS later , NFCU , WITHOUT NOTICE , decided to WITHDRAW " ALL " the REIMBURSED FUNDS FROM MY CHECKING ACCOUNT LEAVING ME WITH ZERO DOLLARS !!! REMEMBER , I MOVED THE FUNDS BACK TO MY SAVINGS ACCOUNT AFTER THE PENDING STATUS WAS REMOVED ! ) .THEY TOOK EVERY DIME I HAD FROM MY CHECKING ACCOUNT WITHOUT WARNING , NOTICE , OR OTHERWISE INFORMING ME OF THEIR DECISION TO RETRACT THE REIMBURSEMENT FUNDS , LEAVING ME WITH NO FUNDS TO COVER MY AUTOMATIC BILL PAY . NEEDLESS TO SAY ,THOSE PAYMENTS WERE DENIED DUE TO INSUFFICIENT FUNDS , CAUSING MUCH CHAOS AND REEKING HAVOC

So...I went to Navy Federal not long ago about 30 mins ago ( 13 JAN 23 ). Maybe someone can help me with this... Why did the joker at the information desk when you first walk in, Did not say hello or anything... When I left out he didn't say anything. So I asked you... Why is it ANYTIME I go to any other Navy Federal, They're super POLITE...But...not at this one? Bad apple I suppose... It only takes one!

I "fired" a different credit union after they made several preventable mistakes with my account. Navy Federal is awesome. If you need a new debit card, or it gets stolen, you can get a new card immediately. They print the cards inside the branch. They will also shred your old one for you.

costumer service here is not the best, transactions that have taken less than 10 minutes at other branches, require the approval of the MOD - but only at this branch..

Be very careful when exchanging in big sum of money, cause somehow im always short a $100, not $80 or $50. Most of their branches dont have a line except for the 1 in Burke.

I'm brand new to Navy Federal credit union and I had to go I today to have a document notarized. Mrs. Hong was awesome and even the young lady at the counter that pointed me in the right direction, so i was directed to check in with the greeter. This review would have been 5 stars, but the cold welcome, unenthusiastic exchange and animatronic actions and unwelcoming attitude of Stephen ( the greeter) is the only reason that this is not a five star review. And for it being my first time going into a branch, that really made me feel like never coming back to that particular branch.

I needed to deposit a check and get some money back in return, something I've done many times at other branches. Not only would they not let me get any money up front, they wanted to put a 5 day hold on the check. I went to the more competent folks at the Annandale branch and not only did they make about $240 available on deposit, the hold is only 2 days.If possible, avoid this location and go to the branch in Annandale or Ballston Sq. for peace of mind that they are doing everything they can to actually help you
