“My experience with Ace Hardware is solely from where I grew up in CT. This is a lot different, in a better way (I guess that’s a subjective thought). I was “used to” an unorganized place full of actual hardware from a-z as well as a lot of indoor/outdoor paint and a paint mixer. In short, I was used to Ace hardware being targeted at real handymen in the midst of a project and in need or something very specific.This store is like “a little of everything” for every part of your apartment. It’s walkable from a lot of apartments around here, and it sells all sorts of things you might need in your apartment (you don’t need to be a handyman or hardcore DIY-er to find a bunch of useful things). A huge variety of things you might need in a pinch. Granted, most are really overpriced, but I wouldn’t complain because it’s all about convenience and location. If you complain about the prices, go ahead and drive into Virginia, lose an hour of your day and walk up and down a huge store. Overall, the convenience and variety in this store is worth slightly higher prices. Nice people, as well.”

“I valled the commercial store after receiving information that the retail store was out of stock of the paint I wanted, which usually happens during a sale. The retail store was helpful tonhelp ke find the paint in stock (always get that help from Sherwin Williams) and commercial store responded quickly! The store also let me know they were closing early and asked if I needed it that day. They had the paint ready by the time I got there and I only lived a few miles away. Always great service!”

Quality comes with a higher price tag to a degree, but so does the advice and guidance you'll find here. Am pleased to have bought my paints and supplies here, and it was my hardcore detailed contractor who got me here. He only works with top tier materials. I agree with his theory "anything house related get great quality." He's been in the business for years, and his reputation is sterling. I found the employees here very approachable. They heard out what I was going for, and let's just say they found the best green color I could even dream of. The bedroom and a storage room downstairs, look far better thanks to them.
