I have been a Apple Federal credit Union member since they bought out synergy back in the 2000s. My hat goes off to Joel at the Stafford branch. Any issue I have ever had with my bank account he's fixed it like it wasn't even a problem. Thank you Joel! I love your Bow ties!

Stay as far away as possible. I have never dealt with a more incompetent credit union in my entire life. For starters, you can't contact anyone except through their horrible call center, who can only give you wrong information after being on hold for a minimum of 30 minutes. When inquiring about buying a VERY expensive car from one of their members, they said they would be happy to help and can take care of the entire process including lien release for the title on site. After flying 600 miles to purchase the car, we sat in the office at the Stafford branch, I paid off the loan and the the lady in the office (Gina?) told us that they would not be able to release the lien for a few days and the DMV would have to send the title to the seller who would then send it to me. That's not what I was told before making the trip, but it's only a few days so no big deal. We have been checking for almost 4 weeks and the lien STILL hasn't been released from the title, so not only do I have a car I can't drive, but the loan I was taking out against it after paying cash up front is expiring because I had to supply a title within 30 days...so especially with the rate hike this week, it's going to cost me THOUSANDS all due to the incompetence of APPLE FEDERAL CREDIT UNION.

Worst bank you will ever deal with. Online services and app are horrible. Loan servicing and customer service ranks near the bottom of any financial institution I have ever dealt with.

I love Apple FCU, however this is probably the worse branch I've been to. I've been going to this branch for the last several years and I've always encountered an issue with them, but the same "issue" wouldn't arise at any other branches I visit up north (in Fairfax-Woodbridge). From poor customer service, snarky comments made by employees (the lady with the bad blonde wig), and these "issues" that only happens at their branch. I wouldn't recommend this branch, just drive further if you actually need assistance with your banking or call their customer service line.

They are better than a big bank, but not by much. Apple used to be small and customer focused. Now they have the same minded managers as the banks with fees galore and awful service. Of course, the management is the problem and the folks working the front line are often pleasant, although their hands are tied. Such a shame the local Savings and Loans are being put out of business by the Credit Unions only because the Credit Unions don't pay any taxes. The real l**** is the American Taxpayer who is taxed more because these poor service Credit Unions aren't taxed anything. Write your congressman and tell them no taxes for the Credit Unions must end.

After being an account holder for a long time now, I am finally glad to say I will never be back into this bank EVER AGAIN! Over the years I have never had even quality service with AFCU. Especially the staff in the Stafford location off of 610. Poor service and friendliness at best. The only reason I kept my account open for the past year was for the easy coin counting machine and service. And after my last visit I will gladly look else where for that service. I will also let everyone I know of my experience and to steer clear of this sad excuse of a bank.

The account updates that prohibit users from logging in are counter intuitive. This bank tends to practice and think on a smaller scale which is nice for those that might be local to a bank location, but it's not useful for those that don't live nearby. Bank just operates on a limited mindset in many ways.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. I haven't had any negative issues. They have also worked with me when need it. Being the closest branch to me, I've used them since 2013.
