I've been with Navy Federal for over 15 years, and the only complaint I've ever had at any branch is wait times, and that probably my fault for always coming in on weekend. Our local branch is always friendly and helpful. I've had my mortgage, car loans, and a personal loan at Navy Fed and they've always been accommodating and patient. When furlough hit because of a Government shutdown, Navy Fed was there, first with overdraft protection and now with their new guaranteed 0% interest late-paycheck loans. Great internet rates and customer support as well. I couldn't be happier, and I'll be a customer for as long as I can reach a branch.

I took my completely correct filled in revocable trust forms in to open a trust account. I am already a customer. They said it would take TWO WEEKS to open an account. Well, I'm practicing patience or I would have hit the roof. Two weeks and it's still not opened. I canceled it. They have no excuse to not immediately open a trust account. I'm looking for another location convenient cu. Location of locust grove, va.

I came in on a Thursday at 3:15pm requesting a new debit card and I didn't leave till 3:45pm. It usually does not take long for a reprint of a debit card.

Navy Federal has been great to us. I use my account regularly and we have two car loans which they made very easy.

Phyllis at reception desk was rude. Not welcoming and I said I had forms to leave off for processing. She told me I had to wait to see someone to make sure they were filled out properly. I told her they could call me if there was a problem and if I mailed them to Merrifield that's exactly what they would do. I'm sick of this branch treating us condescendingly. She looked away while I was talking to her. I hold series 7 and series 66 securities licenses and deal with account forms all the time. I would never treat a client the way I was treated as a "MEMBER". We went through this a few years ago with ownership forms but I would think this branch would have changed its ways. We have mailed or had my husband drop off at Pentagon branch--no problem. To the branch manager. we are the members. There's a reason they are "share" accounts. Change your ways and stop leading your employees whose "MISSION" it is to serve us to do exactly that. As a Marine wife and licensed o investment broker I am disgusted. We will hit step foot in this branch again and sadly there is no result from feedback.

Complaint Type: Customer Service Issues Description of Complaint: Friday on june 15 th i went to deposit a check, i had recieved from my job. I went in and asked how long it would take to clear the lady "Carol" said she would let me know. So in the mean time she just has a huge attitude when asking about my direct deposit and i said sorry im in a rush i dont have time to be much longer. ( I get its friday you've probably had a long day and its 30 minutes until closing but no excuse. So once i find out it would take 2 business days to clear, i asked why which was aggravating because of the attitude! So She explained i dont have a relationship banking wise, which is true we primarily use my husbands account for bills and all that stuff. We use his account for everything! So i left and as i was walking out she whispered something under her breath. At this point i didnt want to go back in but i had to talk with someone to try and understand this. What Carol failed to look at is i have a joint savings with my husband and he has a relationship with his account because we always use it. At one point i had set up my direct deposit to go into OUR savings account. Well long story short Althea whom is a manager there was the absolute rudest ( i can see how her employees follow in her foot steps) great leadership! She argued with me of why i cant deposit it into my husbands savings. Her exact words were " we cant try and BEAT the system by putting into your husbands account because has relationship with us, i feel like a complete criminal at this point when all i wanted to do was cash a check, from my job! Of the long hard hours i worked. In all they were just giving me a hard time. After Althea spoke to my husband on the phone, she realized her mistake seeing we share a savings and instead of apologizing or taking accountability, ill get back to you on why we cant do that for her. So instead after 30 plus minutes of being argued with and talked to like a complete criminal she cashed it ( because she knew she was being wrong) but she knew if she did it by puting in my joint savings i would be rigbt? So she just cashed it and gave me cash. How childish are you!!? Ive now closed my account my husband is as well and i dont ever want to step inside that credit union again. Its was absolutely the worse thing to be treated like that. Its actually very sad. Sucks i thought navy federal was supposed to be one of the better credit unions?! I guess not.

Went in to see if they could help me refinance my car. I walked in to see two associates helping an old man at the desk. Asked the teller if someone was there I could speak with to refinance my car and he said "oh I'm sorry no we don't". Laughed and then said he was kidding..... Like what? How about be a little professional? The lady who spoke with me said I had to have an account with them and sort of paused, like ok get an account and then I'll talk to you....... Didn't smile once or communicate once.... She was however very nice when I told her thanks and I would look around. Really good way to get people to want to open an account with you..... Be happier to see them go then to see them at all?

The tellers and staff here are very pleasant. The outdoor atm is very convenient. The coin machine is so much better than coinstar, there is no charge and it deposits straight into your account. I advise not going in on a Friday afternoon unless you have to...totally packed.

Gotta love having a NavyFed so close to home! I've only ever had to actually go into the branch to deposit my buttload of coins but the people were pleasant, and I had no problems!

I am actually rating the one at 100 Corporate Dr Safford, VA but I don't see it listed here. I normally just use their ATM because all is done online but a couple of times I needed direct customer service and was very disappointed. One time my ATM deposit was shorted by $20 and another time by $5. When I enquired about it I was treated suspiciously!! Of course they don't know anything about loans, except the branch manager, who is behind closed doors so you wait for the rep to go and come back with the answers. During one visit, Doug the teller was too eager and too busy greeting a General that had just walked in, subsequently giving me the brush off... Not only this location but the overall NFCU customer service has a lot to be desired. I have been with them for over 30 years, several auto loans and it really disappoints me to see the disconnection with their customers. If you have a problem, don't expect calls returned and definetely don't ask for prompt assistance.

Incredibly convenient location. The purpose for my visit required dealing directly with customer service. I was greeted by a warm smile and outstanding service. Nice experience

I love having a Navy Fed so close to work. I haven't been inside yet, but I have used the ATM several times. I will update after I encounter a teller.
