Dr Tom is always kind. He gives us so much knowledge during every visit and helps us understand exactly what is going on and what was done, will be done, or needs to be done. My daughter is 13yo and since she was 9yo she has said she wants to be a veterinarian. When I think of my daughter becoming a veterinarian I think of all the qualities Dr Tom has like the grace he shows us, the way he understands and has empathy with us, the compassion that pours out of him when one of our animals passes away but he reminds us that we had done everything we could, and I pray my daughter will have all of those qualities because with those qualities she will becomes everyone’s favorite Vet just like Dr Tom is ours! This is a picture of Dr Tom a little after midnight on what was a Friday night but was then an early Saturday morning. Working on Donkey that we rescued just 8 days prior at an auction house. He gave everything he had to try and save Donkey, but Donkey passed a few shorts days later. Dr Tom assured us we did everything we could for Donkey.

This is the only place I take my fur babies.I have tried some other local veterinarians in the area but nothing compares to the care of Westwood Animal Hospital. Anytime my friends are looking for a veterinarian, I always recommend Westwood! Thank you so much Westwood Animal Hospital for the care you provide to our fur babies!

Been going here for years. Dr. Fox could not have been more helpful and caring while dealing with the end of life of one dog and with helping care for our new pup. Prices are always fair and the staff is is wonderful.

We were a walk in at 8am today 10/12/2023. The staff was quick, responsive, and on top of everything. Immediately had a second plan if the first fell through. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Kay! She was hands down amazing! Broke down every price and option for me. Her nurse( I can't remember her name) was amazing , also! We have our big baby back home and hopefully on the mend! Definitely an amazing vet, we will be taking all of our animals there from now on!

Brought my dog Beanie in to get his nails clipped because he has an ingrown toenail. Every vet I’ve ever been to will explain if they recommend extra steps or treatments and the cost and allow you to weigh the options and decide what’s best. I spoke to multiple vets and decided to go to Westwood because they were closest and every vet I spoke to said the nail would need to be cut and removed and the option of antibiotics to prevent an infection. Westwood cut the nail, and let me know they could prescribe antibiotics and I agreed; however, without informing me or letting me know performed an exam on Beanie and charged me an additional $50 making a visit that should’ve been $50, $100. I found this strange considering I told them when I got paid and planned to bring Beanie in the following week for an exam, shots etc. This was definitely an unnecessary and secretive addition to a total of 15 minute visit that they clearly did for additional money rather than need. They didn’t even allow me to come back with Beanie and see what was being done, but did inform me they had to muzzle him. I saw other fur parents going back with their babies, but I wasn’t allowed back, AND an exam was just added to my hill that I’m not even sure really took place, nor did I approve of. They refused to remove the exam from my bill despite the fact I didn’t ask for it and wasn’t informed of it and since they don’t offer payment plans I was forced to pay the full amount then and there making me broke until pay day, which is inconvenient especially since it was not an emergency. I have never had a vet perform anything that costs extra without informing me and because of their greed wanting an additional $50 for this one visit, they will never again receive a dime from me for any of my beloved fur babies. I want to be informed, and respected as a human who isn’t made of money, and I also want what’s best for my babies. But I can’t go to a vet that I don’t trust and unfortunately this was very untrustworthy. A $15 nail clip turned into $109 without any conversation or additional information. I would rather go to a vet who can and will respect my pets as well as me and unfortunately Westwood is not that.

GREAT people! Extremely efficient, friendly, and professional team. Provided full information and options and a care plan for both our horse and dog and then called to check on how they were doing. Great care, truly concerned from a team that works like clockwork. ?

Excellent service and friendly staff! We were a walk in on a Monday morning with our cat who was experiencing alarming symptoms through out the weekend. We were seen pretty quickly and provided updates often. We had never been here, but we will be returning to Westwood Animal Hospital!
