They have experience with military families which was very useful as getting on our old base is an exercise in patience. They sent folks who had no problem finding the correct gate and getting a visitor pass. They were patient enough to wait while they had their information ran. I wish we were given a window of time when they could arrive but the DC area is weird with traffic so I get it.Everything went smoothly and we were happy with the service we received.

initial transport from San Diego, CA is great with Nick the operational manager for the area. Drivers Bobby and Austin were great, too. ,once we arrived to Quantico, VA it was fine and an easy delivery of the 1st PACK-RAT. The driver said he will be back that day, but he didn’t. Then the driver said that he got pulled over by DOT, then it was truck issues. Absolutelyrespect truck drivers 100% but WHEN they don’t communicate after the first drop off, and tell me different scenarios, it’s absolutely unprofessional. No call from the operations manager for the Virginia region, nada. We call pack rat, and they said to wait between 7 and 11 PM (yes PM). Called an hour out and asked how can they drop off at 11 pm?The rep tonight was rude also. I asked for a warehouse number or regional managers number, could onlyoffer an address though they all work for pack rat? How does that make sense? Who is paying for the hotel bills? I have text from the truck driver saying today, and have the pack rat rep telling me the driver is coming back today Thursday July 13 between 7:30 and 11 pm. I have never had a driver come so late at night. Just a bunch of lies and completely unprofessional. Military families have a hard time moving every time and putting our trust in a moving company with our belongings , but to stoop so low and choose to ignore a family asking is the driver really coming tonight as we wait for hours… is beyond me. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND PACK RAT esp if you’re a military family.

Will edit review once I receive my pod. I did a cross country move. I was simply told they will drop off my pod on X day from my moving locating and deliver it today Saturday at the final location. Well today was the day they were suppose to deliver my pod. I had called this morning on a update on a ETA. I was given between 12:30pm and 4:30pm. Once 5pm rolled around I figured I would give them a call on a second update. The lady on the phone said there is no more ETA and just said it would be delivered today. Nothing else she could do. I called about 15minute later thinking they can certainly call the place my pod is coming from and give me a real time update. Turns out, they weren't going to call me and let me know that now they rescheduled my drop off to be on Monday! I had purchased a Uhaul today to start unloading my things today and tomorrow and bring them to my new place. I only have it for 24 hours which is now not going to be when my pod arrives... I had asked several times in advance if they will drop off, pick up on the dates they PROMISE me. Turns out they cant keep a promise or give a update if they are going to reschedule you. It's one thing to call me and let me know if you're going to be late or need to reschedule. It's a complete different story for me having to call in to find out I've been rescheduled with no intentions of being told this. Thank you for making me spend more money than I needed to and have to reschedule another Uhaul to spend more money again.... Very professional.Edit:Forgot to edit this. They reached out to me via google review asking for information. I tried looking up how to reply to it. but it seems you cannot unless youre a business owner? So that was pretty annoying trying to figure out. I ended up having to call the place and give my details. They refunded me 100 bucks for the uhaul I had rented for the days it was suppose to be delivered. They apologized again and with a new one saying the trucks were down or something. Still.... YOU SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME THAT THE DAY OF! Not me having to dig around trying to figure out why my cross country pod isnt showing up on the promised delivered time that I asked several times that would be met. Customer support was pretty good though. Not too happy with the driver who was suppose to deliver though, and whoever should have reached out to me since the driver didnt. original stars were 2/5.

It's impossible to reach this company via phone. I called half a dozen times, and hold time was greater than 2 hours. Needles to say they never delivered on delivery day and was never able to reach them to figure out why they never showed up.

Terrible experience from 1-800-PACK-RAT corporate out of Wake Forest, NC... keeps claiming many many months later that I still owe a shipping container pickup fee that I already paid. They always declare that they'll note it in my account which shows a $0 balance, but they appear to do nothing - probably hoping people might pay it more than once unknowingly. What a headache, never planning to go back.

Aweful experience! Horrible communication and customer experience. We had the unit delivered 1 month prior to our move 1.5 hours away, to hive us time to pack. We scheduled the unit move to our new location 2 weeks before. We called the day before to confirm June 7 was the day for the move. That day, we waited and waited, then had to be put in the que for call back 4 hours later! Then they tell us they aren't coming because a truck broke down. Ok...but when we're they going to tell us? We had to call them. Next we get back on the phone to reschedule for the next day, and that it would be made priority. Today, they didn't deliver again, and after several calls to try and find out when they would be at the new house, we were told the office had to reschedule us for June 12th! (5 days past when we were supposed to get out stuff)...and we are now scrambling to find another way because we have to have everything off our last home property before Friday June 10 so the new tenants can move in. This is unacceptable and plain bad customer service...the hours spent waiting for calls, being given the run around when we are paying customers. I am beyond disappointed and stressed. Do Not Use Them....try something, anything else.Edited: they want contact information and order ID? Ok, well order ID was 6874500. Exactly how and where do I provide this being that we have yet to receive a call back from the manager of the local office?

800 Pack Rat is a much better value than PODS. If it wasn’t for the long wait times when calling they would have received 5 stars…and it’s mainly due to the individual who moved our items to our new house and again picked up the empty container, Mr. Rene Guzman, he’s top notch!!

Drivers didn’t know I put a tracker in my Pack Rat. Lied about delivery times- wasted hours of mine. Rude, unprofessional and liars. Avoid this company.

No much to talk 4 hours to load, nice people but,I went to ask what happen with my load one of staff member said to me all the drivers from the Company the have to be first that is every one box truck come in the have to loud before my the was a Semytruck in the door and 5 small local truck and the have to locate my load at the end of the day exactly 3 1/2 waiting thanks
