Tinted the windshield of my vehicle here. The wait was okay, the waiting area was okay. When I got the car back, there was visible contamination and both fingers and creases that stuck around after it fully dried. The creases are right in the line of sight for the driver - really annoying.”

Maaco was very easy to get into to get an estimate from. They worked with the warranty company before so they knew where to send the paperwork to. Within a couple days I heard back on the approval and was able to set up a date to drop the car off. The drop off was easy. They quoted me a time frame. I called to see if it would be ready on time and they had some delays but worked it out super fast so that I could have my car back by the time the rental was due back. They did excellent work. Back in January, about a week after our snow/ice storm, I was driving behind another vehicle in my Tesla when a massive sheet of ice flew off the roof of the car in front of me and slammed into the front passenger side of my vehicle. The damage was significant — $10k+ worth of damage. A cracked bumper, smashed headlight, smashed fog light, a broken windshield, damage to the fender, and the trim around the wheel well was ripped off. It was a mess.

The good news was that I was 100% not at fault. The bad news was that I now had to deal with someone else’s insurance and go through tprocess. Before the accident, my Tesla was in mint condition — no scratches, no dents, nothing. It looked brand new, and I wanted it returned to that same condition.

I started researching body shops that were Tesla-authorized and came across D&V Autobody Masters. That’s when I was connected with Mario, and I can honestly say he was fantastic throughout the entire process.

Getting the insurance company to approve everything that needed to be repaired was a complete uphill battle. Mario stayed on top of them, the entire time. He kept me in the loop every step of the way, and we spoke once or twice a week. At the end of each week, he would send a detailed summary email explaining exactly where things stood. That level of communication alone was incredibly helpful.

What really stood out to me was that Mario went to bat for me with the insurance company. He made sure I didn’t have to play the middleman between the body shop and the insurance adjusters. He handled those conversations directly and fought to make sure the repairs were done correctly. In the event, that I did need to speak to them or make a call, he told me what I needed to ask for and why I should be the one to call.

The insurance company initially wanted to only cover aftermarket parts. This didn’t sit right with me considering my car didn’t have any aftermarket parts to begin with. This is where Mario really stood his ground. Mario pushed back against multiple “claims agents” telling them what they are offering just isn’t good enough and worked hard to ensure the car was repaired using Tesla-manufactured parts, which is exactly what should happen when a vehicle like this is repaired.

Yes, the process took longer than I would have liked, but that delay wasn’t because of the shop — it was because of the back-and-forth with the insurance company. Mario never gave up and stayed committed to making sure the car left the shop looking as good as — if not better - than it did before the accident.

I hate dealing with insurance companies. I find the whole process extremely frustrating. I was ready to blow a gasket a few times that I did have to speak with them, But having someone like Mario on the front line made all the difference.

I would absolutely recommend D&V Autobody Masters, and if you have the chance to work with Mario, you’ll be in great hands.

If I ever find myself needing a body shop again in the future, Mario will be my first call.”
