I can't say enough good things about Banfield Pet Hospital in Sterling. I have gone to many vets in my 36 years of having pets and Dr. Dolece has been the very best. The care we have received for my dog has been amazing. It has been wonderful having a doctor who genuinely cares about my pet. This past month it was time for my 17 year old poodle to cross over the rainbow bridge and Dr. Dolece and her staff were wonderful. They made a horrible situation so much easier. I honestly cannot thank them enough. My years at Banfield have been great and my only regret is not finding them sooner. Thank you Dr. Dolece and your team at Banfield!

I cannot say enough about Dr. Dolece and her team . Myself, my daughter and my granddaughter have been bringing out pups to her for several years now . It’s a family affair ,always a friendly inviting atmosphere always explains in detail and always returns our calls . Sat was no exception . I took my grandpup in for my daughter , he’s a pitbull mix and very strong and rambunctious .My being older he gets over and tugs . Dr. Dolece went above and beyond , so kind , she personally walked Tucker to my car and put him in . I am so thankful and appreciative . She’s the best !

These guys are not our regular Banfield, but they were excellent in the most difficult of situations. Extremely respectful and compassionate.

Called on Saturday specifically for an interview person appointment due to my cat being petrified of the VET. Was advised that the first in-perperson was on Monday at 10.30am. Got there early and confirmed an in person appointment. The assistant came out and was so rude advising that there are no in-person appointments in the morning and if I insisted in been with they would not see my cat today. She called the doctor and was advised that she was a doctor down and had 30 appointments. There are jo morning in-person appointments in the morning. If I did notnlike it, there are other Benfied outlets that I could take my cat to. Both the doctor and the assistant should not be treating animals or meet with the owner of the patient. They are bo one bit concerned about the injury of the animal or why the owner needs to be with the animal during the interview. I have found this treatment today as totally rude, unprofessional, cold, and totally unacceptable. The doctor actually raised her voice to me and implied it was my fault that she was a doctor down and had 30 appointments for the day. Why do they not reschedule the appoinments and call the owners to advise on the challenges at hand vs treating the owners in the way. There is also nowhere advertised that there are no in-person appoinments in the morning for the customer to be aware. Will never take my animals back here.

Edit #1: my cat died earlier this year, he had a stone preventing him from peeing. I AM NOT saying it's Banfield's fault. But, considering we went multiple times to Banfield, I feel like if they had someone check on the male cats when they pee, my cat would still be alive today. We had gone probably like 7 times to Banfield. He showed signs (licking his genitals) like 7 to 8 MONTHS before he died. I had taken a picture/video of him doing that because I thought it was just a weird thing that some animals do, like how some dogs eat poop.Original review: Always professional here, they're really here to help and you can just tell from how patient they are in answering questions everything! Love this place!

I've tried to be patient with the front desk staff, even when they've been rude and unaccommodating. We have been clients at this location for 6+ years. We own two dogs and one has debilitating anxiety. I ran out of her Trazadone in July and called today to request a refill, as we have had a lot of strong unexpected storms in the area. The front desk receptionist said that the doctor familiar with our dog would not be in until next week. I explained that the situation was dire -- she chews through plugged in cords and metal -- and she chews on anything and everything while bleeding. It's still unclear to me why the vet who was in the office today could not approve the medication, but I've been sitting with an inconsolable dog for four hours, and I have two children who need me. More severe weather is supposed to pass through at 9 pm. Oh, and I called back, hoping to get the vet on the phone, the phones had been turned off 30 minutes prior to when they close.

Good service, but definitely be sure to price check any prescriptions they give to you! They regularly charge 10x or more the amount that Chewy charges. For example, they charged me $23.70 for fourteen 250mg amoxicillin pills ($1.69 per pill). You can get 30 250mg amoxicillin pills on Chewy for $4.80 ($0.16 per pill). Please be cautious of their price gouging! They claim to price match Chewy, but only if you recognize the price difference prior to paying.

The healing experience should not come with sever PTSD! I just recently had to take a dog for an emergency visit to get checked out for a potential case of pancreatitis. I was told to drop off my pet for a few hours. When we got there I suspected that the place was not up to good standards - all the dogs waiting admission were totally stressed out, shaking and panting. Well, a visit to a vet is always somewhat unpleasant, but there are ways to make the experience much more pleasant for pets by being friendly and by using treats. Well, not if you are visiting Banfield pet hospital. The girl who came out to get my pet and the info just totally ignored him and his obvious discomfort and used a noose leash to drag him inside - he was panicky and trying to fight her off, it was a totally brutal experience. First of all, using a noose leash to drag nice pets inside??? I find it totally inhumane. When asked about it, the only reply I got - it's the policy. No sign of remorse or an attempt to make things better. The sounds coming from inside (from the crates) were mortifying, I doubt anyone tries to make them more comfortable on the inside. Yes, they are cheaper than competitors, but ...if you have a heart, please do not take your pet there! There are much better places in the area!

They're really nice, though they're not the cheapest. However, it's more the area than the place. They're attentive and thorough, I used to see bad reviews from a few years back, but I've had none of those negative experiences myself.

If I could give them a 0 star I would. I lost my dog 2 days ago because they forgot to mention that my dog had an uterus infection, we could've saved her but didn't get the chance to. This is the most unprofessional place I've ever been to and I'll forever regret putting my dog life on their hands.

Dr tepley is rude ,unprofessional , and insensitive. After my cat visited her she became very Sick and will have to be put down. I expressed my concerns to her and she was extremely defensive. The manager called and of course was biased and came to her defense. How are you comparing a friendship to a professional transaction. These people lack professionalism to the tenth power. Dr. Tepley never offered sympathy as I said she is a cold person!

I would like to rate as zero this survey. Very Poor assistance from Fatima . According to her, she contacted a vet who didn’t want to check my pet who just recovered from a seizure, no empathy, no professional attitude….In critical situations is when you really recognize the professionalism, kindness and goodness of the people!!!

We've used Banfield for more than a decade and they are terrific in my experience. We have had four dogs under their care. The Cascades location is consistently staffed with good vets who obviously love their jobs. They spend the time necessary to explain my pets' conditions and treatments and offer practical advice. When it came time to put down two of our dogs, we couldn't have asked for more compassionate consultation and follow through. Afterwards, in both cases, they sent a sympathy card that all the staff signed. The front desk could use some tightening up, but it's a busy location so I'm patient with that.
