This is our first google review and the overall experience in Bassett Sterling store deserves it. We were shopping for sofa and dining set. After exploring multiple stores in the area, we decided to go with Bassett and very pleased with the decision. We were helped by Abbe! She is amazing. She took time to understand our needs, explain different options \ customizations possible and went extra mile to put together set we were looking for. It’s been almost 2 months we are using the furniture. Its high quality and very comfortable. We will be back here for our future shopping. Thanks!

We went to Bassett Furniture in July and met with Johnny who was extremely professional, patient and knowledgeable about the products and design. We purchased a pair of love seats for our TV room. They were expensive (nearly $12,000 for the two pieces). About 15 months later, the motor which controls the love seats (allows the pedestal to go up or down) died. Without it, you cannot raise or lower the pedestal. Not much durability, right? 15-16 months for $12K, right? And I just noticed other Yelp remarks, showing 1 star and indicating durability issues. Seems like a pattern. When we called them, they were able to quickly diagnose the problem (bad external battery pack). But they said we would have to pay $199 to replace it. We thought maybe they could make an exception, since these pieces are relatively new, and considering the significant expense of the furniture only a year or so ago. Nope! Also, we called the folks who manufacture the battery pack. They quoted us a price of $110 (which includes shipping). So, a $90 mark-up by Bassett. Awesome.On top of that, Bassett's Customer Care was of no help whatsoever. So, if you buy from Bassett, beware of durability issues, and don't expect help from their Customer Care folks.

We bought a Beckham modular sofa 3 years ago and I waited to post a review to see how Bassett quality holds up. Well, it's by far STILL the most comfortable sofa I've ever sat on in my life! I absolutely love this sofa. None of the cushions have sagged or given in any way. I was worried at first because I have a cat that likes to lay in the middle of the back cushions but they always bounce back. It's so comfortable you could fall asleep on it night after night and prefer it over the bed!I love that they're friendly but not overly pushy on the sales floor, too. I like to be able to walk and think, not bombarded like you are at some other stores. Though Bassett is pricey, the quality is worth it. They do sales from time to time and that's when we bought. Very happy. Oh! And the ability to choose the fabric for the custom through pillows was a great touch. It made our couch really personalized.

We placed a custom order with Basset in January 2023. The design consultant that helped us was Angela Rosenberg. The design experience was enjoyable and Angela provided a professional eye and kind feedback for every step of our process. She came to our home and assisted me with the arrangement and design of the pieces we wanted to purchase. We knew from the start that our order would take a while to be completed, and Angela communicated all delays as needed. We received our completed order in April 6, 2023. We were impressed with the quality and look of the final pieces. Prior to our delivery, an inspection was done at the warehouse and it was discovered that our tabletop had a slight flaw. A replacement tabletop was ordered immediately, and we were notified and given the choice to receive the lightly damaged table to use until the new table arrives. The delivery was professional and efficient. We ordered a couch, oversized chair, coffee table/ottoman and kitchen table with chairs. The fabric is phenomenal, and the cushions on the couch and chair are so comfortable. It was an expensive purchase that we don’t regret. You get what you pay for. We love all of our pieces and will definitely return to Bassett in the future.

Not sure what I did to be ignored here but walked the entire showroom, weaving in and out of rooms, making eye contact w salespeople, and not a single person acknowledged me or spoke to me. I'm guessing they saw me parking in handicap and knew I would be a more complicated customer and they couldn't be bothered. They weren't even all busy w customers, just not willing to get off their lazy butts to even approach me. Good thing I found the bathroom at the back to make the visit not completely pointless. I guess unless you have an appointment or hours to waste there you won't get helped. Shame to see this location bringing this brands name down. Won't shop online for their furniture, so I'm happy to save my money today and spend it tomorrow at their competitor.

We have been less than pleased with Bassett in Dulles. Although the furniture is beautiful, their customer service after the sale has been abysmal. We have been waiting for over a month AFTER our estimated date of arrival (which was already 3 months out from time of sale) for our dresser and nightstands.When we call about when we can expect the pieces, it’s simply sorry could be any time, but call back in 2 weeks. And the cycle continues. We were actually told that we should be happy that at least they’re promising us dates now (although nothing firm ?♂️) No attempt to expedite our order. No calls to the NC warehouse. Not even feigning interest that it’s been a third of a year and we are waiting. Very disappointed on this transaction.

My purchase experience went well. I had a very helpful representative. I bought a table and sectional. My table started chipping almost right after I purchased it. It has a white finish. This is where everything went wrong. The customer service team has yet to resolve my problem and this is that I bought the protection plan imagine if I had not. I called them for the first time in November 2020 and it is now February 2021. Their response was that they have been busy and they don’t get notified of emails. I understand being busy but not careless . I did a lot of investigation before choosing Bassett and saw some bad reviews but I thought people were just being picky. I was wrong, please save your self the trouble and invest your money elsewhere . Terrible experience:(

This is a zero rating and if an even more negative rating could be given, that is what this company deserves. Absolute worst company from which you can purchase. They are rude and unprofessional. Worst customer service i have ever encountered. Delivered the wrong couch twice and insisted the second time it was correct. The manager Jodi refused to leave my property despite my instruction to do so. They provided no remedy to rectify the situation and instead chose to be defensive and combative. STAY FAR FAR AWAY! DO NOT BUY HERE. You will be gravely disappointed if you engage in any manner with this company.
