We chose Carmack Moving Company to pack, store, and deliver our household goods for a recent move, and they exceeded every expectation. Sharon provided a prompt, fair, and transparent price quote, and she was an absolute pleasure to work with (friendly, responsive, and professional throughout the process). We were fortunate to have the same crew for both move-out and move-in, and they were hands down the most professional, efficient, and courteous moving team we've encountered in over 10 moves. They treated our furniture and belongings with exceptional care and attention, making what is usually a stressful experience smooth and worry free. We can’t thank Carmack enough for their outstanding customer service, top-notch work, and fair pricing. Without hesitation, we highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy moving company.

I was very impressed with Carmack Moving and Storage in our move from Northern Virginia to Orlando. We have moved about a dozen times all around the US with half as military moves and half as corporate relocations. This was the first move we had to pay for directly and we were very happy with the value received and professional courteous service.

I would not hire Carmack. We hired them to move our 2000 sq ft home including specially packing an antique statue. They assured us the statue would be double boxed and well padded. Instead, they threw the antique statue in with a bunch of lamps and did not bother to double box. The statue is broken and is ruined. They have denied my claim for ANY compensation. If you have things that you value, do not hire this company.

We chose Carmack for our April 2023 move based on excellent reviews (to that point), competitive pricing, and a very communicative sales rep. Up until the move date, all was well. From the pack date (which we rushed to move up at their request and ended up being on Easter Sunday), through delivery (we also moved this date up again at their request), and especially through the claims process, we were very displeased. The extreme lack of communication after the move was the most frustrating as we were trying to complete the claims process. We purchased the extra full replacement value insurance. We were asked to re-submit photos and promised a quick turnaround on the items they questioned. Now months later after many, many attempts to contact them through emails and phone calls with their promises of “getting right back to us,” we have not heard from them. Combine these issues with the fact that items were broken due to poor packing (which the company admitted) as well as other items destroyed (i.e. a bookcase) with the response “no one can keep these from damage” we cannot recommend Carmack.

A few months back, I hired the team at Carmack for moving services. Unfortunately, damages were done to my new home. I have yet to receive a response, update or dedication for caring about their customers to resolve claims.Be aware as long as your move is smooth, you're good to go. But if you submit a claim for damages, the company ignores you, does not follow up, nor offer any remedy to resolve your concerns or claim. I am very disappointed with Carmack Moving Services/Customer Support Team. Prior to this incident, I was a repeat customer.As you continue to read these reviews, notice how the company only responds to positive reviews and ignores not so favorable reviews from previous unhappy customers.

Despite my having to reschedule moving services, the team at Carmack were very responsive, friendly and were able to support my moving needs on short notice. The guys that came out were the dance - professional, caring, and very quick.

After shopping around for the best offer I went with Carmack because they offered me the most competitive price after a thorough in person visit of the furniture to be moved.
At the time my furniture arrived to texas they informed me that my bill increased by 29% due to the final weight measured vs. the one they estimated and that they wouldn’t give me my furniture until I paid the full amount. I reached to the office to complain about he huge difference in cost but they said that their estimates can be inaccurate and that they can’t reduce my invoice increase.
I would not use them again. It’s unfortunate because everything else about them was great but a 29% increase in cost at the last moment is not acceptable. It’s not like they find that information out when they arrived at my new home 10 days after they picked up my furniture.

Thank you, Carmack! This was the largest of many household moves that I have made and Carmack made it the best! Everyone in every part of the move -- scheduling, packing, loading, moving (500 miles), delivery, unpacking, and placing our items in the new house -- was done professionally, courteously, and carefully. Carmack had our belongings in storage for over a year and they came out just as they went in. Carmack is the one to call when it is time to move!

We used Carmack for two moves recently. The movers worked very hard on very hot days. They took great care of our furnishings. I would highly recommend Carmack. If we ever move again we plan to call on them again.

The Carmack team was fantastic to work with from start to finish. From the initial consult process to our moving day, the team was professional, courteous, and made us feel like valued customers all the way. They called when on the way to our previous home, communicated their strategy, and took great care to make the moving process stress-free for us. We have used them for 2 moves now and would not want to call anyone else! Would definitely recommend!

I had to arrange a move in Washington DC while I was another state and unable to be onsite for the move. Tammy and Jim were accommodating and 100% professional. The move went like clockwork and gave me the necessary peace of mind. Highly recommend. Trustworthy and professional!

Kudos to the team at Carmack Moving and Storage. We planned a move on short notice and the entire experience was surprisingly excellent! My husband and I have both moved extensively over the years, and by far and above, Carmack Moving and Storage exceeded our expectations. Sometimes you never know what you get especially when it comes to finding the right moving and storage company. We were so blessed to stumble onto Carmack Moving and Storage. From the very beginning, Mickey put us at ease by
explaining the make up and focus of the company. He was friendly, professional, and organized. He gave us his contact number and office number, if along the way we had questions to call him.
The day of the move, the movers were on time. We told them what needed packing and they were right on the task. These men were very careful not to bump walls and worked hard to complete their task. They even secured my grandfather clock with great care. The men worked hard and did a great job. We had to delay the delivery date several times, but Mickey was very flexible and worked with us. He was always available to address our needs.
The day of our household items were to be delivered went so smoothly. The men arrived we gave them instructions and they knew just what to do. These men worked so hard for hours and were so gracious. They did not bump our new walls and had to disassemble a huge office desk to get it through the doorway. We could not of had a group of men handle our items so carefully like they did.
If we could give Carmack Moving and Storage more than 5 stars, we would. Thank you, Mickey and the men who moved our household goods. Oh, and my grandfather clock made it here beautifully!

I give this company 5 stars and my highest recommendation. Their professionalism, work ethic, service delivery, and all-around character made what could have been a brutal day into a smooth transition into our new place. In a post-covid world with lots of uncertainty, I am certain we could not have had a better experience. We thank you greatly for your efforts.
