In regard to the Sterling location: this was the worst post-purchase experience I’ve ever had. From giving me the wrong contract with someone else’s personal information all over it, to losing my tags. I will never suggest this dealership to anyone.
I bought my car on November 16, and on that day they kept one of my tags so they could go to the DMV and take care of the transfer.
They lost the tag, and when I went in on Saturday, December 14th, I explained that my temporary tags were about to expire that Monday and my salesperson, Elie, as well as whom I believe is his manager at the front desk, instructed me that they were unable to find the plate right then and there, but they would have Tawana mail them out to me. I reached out to Tawana to confirm this information, and she said in a text thread that I still have, that my tags would be ready Monday morning and she would reach out to me Monday morning as well. I told her that didn’t make sense because the 2 gentlemen in the office informed me that she would mail them out. She said mailing them would take 2-3 days. After this, I heard nothing further from her. Elie said Friday afternoon that Tawana would reach out to me on Friday evening, she never did. I went in today, Saturday, December 21, and was given the run around yet again. The man that sits at the front desk—the same one who said Tawana would mail them—was extremely rude.
He told me he “can’t print plates because he isn’t the DMV” and “if the tag was lost there’s nothing they can do about it”. They told me to go to the DMV to get new tags myself.
For a business to mess up and make the customer fix it on top of being rude is mind blowing to me.
