PLEASE do not display plastic bottled water outside in 100 degree heat! Plastic is linked to cancer. Add heat and it destabilizes, leaking more toxins in the water. You should know better about food and beverage storage/safety. I will never feel safe purchasing water from Giant again because surely some of these dangerous bottles will make their way back onto the shelves. So sad. Buyer Beware!

I went in this morning at 8:30 couldn’t understand why there was no veggies out, no salad, no carrots . I could see people racing around the store. There were people just putting out all the cheese. I asked a manager you know the fancy ones that were the dress shirt. He said the frigeration system broke over night and it just came back on. Then he said does that answer your question. I said yes and left my cart with old watermelon and bagged apples. Let me add the produce man who was putting the wilted cilantro out. I now know the 3 other groceries will be getting my business. This is disgusting.

Abysmal experience. I don’t normally shop at Giant due to the prices, but I went in here tonight to make use of their Coinstar machine. Upon finishing the machine failed to print a cash voucher, leading me to seek help from seemingly friendly (later found the opposite) associates Terri and Yulisa. Both were less than helpful and immediately met me with an attitude when trying to find a solution. I was left with a remark of ‘we won’t help you we are too busy’ and told to call the number. Of course I called coinstar with my transaction id and all proper information, allowing me to receive a verification code and electronic release directly from coinstar. While on the phone I had Terri speak with the coinstar representative to manually enter my information to receive my cash (as in coinstar policy) upon receiving this information Terri became extremely combative not only with me but with the coinstar employee as well (who made note of this in her report) and outright refused to release my funds to me even after the verification code had been provided, she spent 30 minutes arguing and denying store policy with the coinstar employee and myself. She cursed at me and told me to go get in a car accident among other very nasty remarks, then told me to come back in the morning and speak to her manager because she “doesn’t care.” very unfortunate series of events and I cannot believe the downright rude and distasteful treatment I received tonight from giant employees. I will be back to settle this coinstar issue with the manager and NEVER Again

For some odd reason, the cashiers at this particular Giant will not bag your groceries for you. I would say only one cashier has taken the initiative to bag my items after scanning them of all the times that I've visit the store. This is the only Giant I've gone to that has this issue. They will ring your items up, and then slide them down so that you can bag them yourself. Granted, I'm not certain what their job description is, or if they're even required to bag groceries after scanning them. However, if you have a disability, such as rheumatoid arthritis or ALS that prevents you from bagging your own items, I would advise you to either order online or bring someone to help you. You've been warned!
Also, I wanted to add that the cashiers get an attitude when you ask them to scan your Giant card. I truly don't understand all the misplaced rudeness, but this has simply been my personal experience. Other than the issues with checkout, the store is fairly nice.

I was trying to get Digirinio gluten-free pizza, as advertised on the website. They said they don’t have it in stock. If you didn’t have space for it, then why the hell are you advertising it on your website?

I've been shopping at Giant since they opened the one on the corner of Haycock Rd and Broad St in Falls Church. It was called Super Giant back then. Giant has always been my go to store. When this store was remodeled is when I noticed the prices steadily increasing with less choices of product. I'm pretty priced out of this store now unless Food Lion doesn't have a particular item I need. I do like the employees in this store
though. The self check out is horrible compared to Food Lion.. There's always an issue if the item is not heavy enough for the sensor. Oh and produce has never been a strong selling point.

The staff at this grocery store has an unwelcome vibe especially at the self check out. The self check out machines always has issues while scanning items and the staff there watching will help but will also give you an attitude which I don't understand why if they are getting paid by the hour. This store is also very expensive to shop at.
