I recently used JK Moving Services for my relocation from New England to DMV area, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the service.
The movers, Jean and Alex, were exceptional, professional, careful with our belongings, and incredibly helpful throughout the packing and loading process. They took great care with our electronics and fragile items, ensuring everything was properly protected for the move.
The coordination team was equally impressive, staying responsive and communicative throughout the entire process. They helped me navigate scheduling changes, insurance documentation, and answered all my questions promptly.
Highly recommend JK Moving Services for anyone planning a relocation. Their combination of professional movers and excellent customer service made all the difference.

Once again, JK movers did an amazing job with our recent move. The planning brought great comfort to the anticipated move. The team of movers (can't remember their names, but they should be acknowledged for their fine work) were courteous and skilled. Clarke Mahek was a superior leader. I would recommend JK movers to anyone needing a mover.

Moved from Northern Virginia to St Petersburg Florida. Great crews at both ends. VERY customer focused team. Dennis was a great driver and leader, getting things unloaded assembled and into the correct rooms. Would definitely use again!

I had a very good experience with JK Moving Services for my interstate move from VA to IL. I received quotes from multiple competitors such as Allied, but JK Moving had the best rate when you compared apples to apples. They included the potential of having to use a shuttle ($1k) up front and were honest and open about potentially needing one, as my townhome may not be able to accommodate a tractor trailer (semi truck).
The driver, Jerry, was able to back his way into my complex and it saved us $1k. The movers got everything into the truck within 4-5 hours (4 bedroom, ~2400 sq ft). They arrived as scheduled and planned, and got everything into within 4-5 hours and rebuilt everything that was taken apart. The crew at destination was different, but they did a good job. The driver was the same.
Props to Tom and Wendy for walking me through the specifics, Carissa for her communication, and the driver Jerry for on the spot communication, numbering of furniture, watching over staff to ensure proper care, and for the experience and skills to back a semi truck into my townhome complex and new home.

From start to finish, JK Moving was great! The initial setup and scheduling was easy, the packing team arrived on time and did a fantastic job ensuring all of our belongings were boxed up and protected. On the day of the move, a crew showed up on time and worked hard to get everything loaded in the truck. They took care to wrap and protect our big furniture. The driver, Raymond was very professional and let us know everything they were doing. Raymond and a crew delivered at our new location a couple of days later ensuring we had accounted for everything on the inventory sheet before he left. Had nothing missing or damaged! Only reservations I had in the beginning, which ended up not being unfounded, was the use of AI Inventory process. Using your phone you take a video of all your belongings to establish an estimate. When the final bill was settled we were within $100 of original estimate.

JKMoving did an excellent job for my move. The crews who did the packing really took great care in wrapping the fragile decorations & dishes. The moving crew protected the floors & took extra care when unexpected work was needed for oversized furniture. My furniture & household goods needed to be stored for several months. When the final delivery was made everything was in good shape in the storage pallets. Hats off to the crew who took extra EXTRA care in getting my 80 yr old piano down a flight of stairs to its final spot in the new house—and protected the new sod around the house!!! I would definitely recommend JK Moving for its great service & care for your move.

Please do not use their services. The salesman that comes to your home will impress you with how your furniture will be cared for in the move. The name of our salesman was Clarke Mahek. He seems to be a likable person. However, the movers that moved us did not get that memo. They did not wrap the furniture like the salesman stated resulting in damage to my end table, dining room table, and tears in my mattress - and whatever other damage I haven’t discovered yet. None of these things were wrapped like the salesman previously said. I was not aware this was happening because I was putting my items in the wardrobe boxes upstairs. (The salesman insisted that I take the wardrobe boxes that I bought from U-Haul back and use his wardrobe boxes free of charge on the day of the move.) I have moved these same items before with a less well-known business and they were never damaged. They are nice solid, heavy pieces of wood. They also broke my television. I was told by the salesman that the movers would bring me a television box fit for my large tv. I think I paid about $70 for the box in the invoice. The problem… I never received the tv box. Instead they wrapped it in a mirror pack cardboard strip style box with a blanket wrapped around it. Because I was upstairs packing the wardrobe boxes, I was never aware that I did not receive the tv box for the tv downstairs and I paid for the box unaware. Needless to say, the tv broke. I have moved tvs in the past through a moving company before and this is the first time I had one broke. So that’s a total of 4 items damaged. The claim filing process is a joke. The claims process is a joke. The claim supervisor’s name was Ivan Branov. He was trying to do everything he could to not pay for the damage.
You will be impressed by the salesman and the sales presentation. But the movers are not doing those things. I beg you to find another moving company that will treat your items with the utmost care they deserve.

I’ve used JK Moving twice. My first experience in 2001 was excellent, but the move in 2022 was extremely disappointing. The company sent an understaffed team, and when subcontractors saw we were still packing a few boxes, they left—leaving only two movers to handle the entire job until a new crew was found the next day.
Delivery was equally frustrating. The team consisted of the lead mover and his family, who were kind but clearly inexperienced. Over time, I’ve discovered numerous items that never made it to our new home. With the short timeframe the company gave us to report missing items, it was impossible to catch everything.
Overall, it was a stressful and costly experience that fell far short of expectations.

I am 100% satisfied with my experience with JK Moving Services. The entire process was handled smoothly from start to finish, and everything arrived on time and in excellent condition. I especially want to highlight Roger, the final destination delivery professional, for his outstanding service. He was courteous, efficient, and went above and beyond with the setup and installation in my new home. His professionalism made the final stage of the move seamless.

My move on September 23 from MD to WV was smooth and effortless due to the six man crew. They took care when handling my items and assisted with packing. At my new residence they asked where each piece should be placed and reassembled all items that had been moved. They worked very fast and efficiently. I highly recommend using
