Been here awhile. Am finding the chemical cleaning by staff while people are working out has increased. Floors are wet, creating a liability of slipping, with extension cords all over the member walkway and floor areas (. trip hazard) for the machine and mop and bucket were in double use. Burning eyes, coughing, and toxic bleach and other chemical smells. If the gym wants to be clean why not invest in cleaning the duct system. This location ever since it was Golds subjected members to toxic cleaning, time to contact someone. The solutions are dangerous, and wet cleaning around members is not needed. Should be done pre open or post close. Other days the gym turns off circulation and the place stinks. This gym is making people sick. I Checked out other local gyms, that are very clean, with no use of toxic floor cleaning going on.I and my friends will be leaving as soon ad we can.We were sick after the floor cleaning day, went to Dr. he said chemical toxicity exposure, he documented my eyes and respiratory condition as cleaning chemical exposure.

I find it disappointing that the paid towel service is often unavailable. If guests are expected to pay for this amenity, it should be consistently stocked and accessible. Aside from this issue, the facility is well-maintained, but the towel service policy needs improvement to match the level of quality advertised.

From the moment I walked through the doors, I was impressed by how welcoming and professional the entire team is. Every staff member is kind, attentive, and always ready to help, which makes working out so much more enjoyable.
A special mention goes to the SmartStart program — don’t skip it! The personal trainer guides you through everything at your own pace, helping you build a tailored program, set realistic goals and motivate you to get best results possible!

Been going here for over 1.5 years
Classes are great. One machine kept breaking and they were repeatedly repairing and it took a while for replacement. At least they replaced!! Other than that, this is a solid gym.
Now, there are huge, huge issues with people sitting on machines for an unreasonably long time while on their cell phones, and not offering to rotate.
There should be a policy for this...something like: You can use your cell phone, however, you need to let the next person in line work out on your "breaks"One member was so rude about her disrespectful behavior. I still give it a 5 however, give me another month of this and I might drop to a 4 or lower.

At first impression the place is spacious and quite clean. However,
1. They do not let you cancel your membership without first paying the following month's monthly payment and in addition to that another 3 months of penalties, unless you prove that you are moving more than 25 miles from the gym. (They are not honest because before I registering I asked about the cancellation policy and they did not mention additional charges.)
2. They close very early on weekends.

They are much better at maintaining the equipment than their predecessor, Gold’s Gym. They sometime run out of towels.

Lots of equipment and friendly staff. Clean facility and able to do my workouts efficiently. Most of the complaints are from privileged soft people who don’t understand how gyms work especially with the guest pass policy. I’ve brought in guest who were able to use the gym with no problems. $40 a month is a STEAL. Only complaint is I wish the hours were longer on weekdays and weekends.
Would recommend this gym to anyone!

I want to give a shout out to the General Manager of my One Life gym in Sterling, VA Greg Custard. He has been extremely helpful to me on several occasions - has helped make my attempts to be a bit more healthy easier. He does an amazing job running this gym, and has some of the nicest support staff around.
Even though it means it will be a bit busier, I would highly recommend joining this gym. I have been a member for years!

I have never joined a fitness club. I have always thought that owning equipment is the better deal. My son wanted to join a fitness club because he loves working out. He told me that Onelife was only $39 a month and I couldn't believe that was true.
My wife was paying $170 a month to go to a Pilates class. There were many times she showed up and the class was full. For $39 a month, she now could take Pilates or try out other classes. She turned out to really like the water aerobics.
I am not yet ready to try out classes or try all of the machines. I have been going quite often and using the cardio machines. I have noticed a difference. Doing the math, I could be a member for three years for the price of most quality exercise equipment.

Manager and front desk personnel rude and racist. I am so disappointed at the unprofessional behavior at this location. Made us wait more than 30min for a free day pass for a friend and manager did not even come to talk to us.

Facility is huge and has most of the extras I enjoy: pool for swim days, hydro massage beds, and lots of natural light throughout.
I would give five stars if they provided plastic bags for your damp clothes and if this location was closer to me. Visiting Sterling is a hike and I don’t need to be in the area often.
I came on a Saturday morning when the Tysons gym was so packed that getting anything done on the gym floor AND the pool was insufferable.
