Good store with helpful, friendly staff and excellent availability of goods. They’ve consistently had the items needed for both our cat and dog. The employee interactions have always been very pleasant. Having been at other petsmart locations that have limited stock or seem understaffed, I’m impressed by this store in particular.

We brought our dog to do nail trim/grinding and they did an extremely poor job leaving some nails extremely long. We filed a complaint and there was no accountability what so ever. Better off finding a different pet groomer place or simply do it yourself. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

It’s ok pets-mart between pets marts but some things in general just sad around this company. It’s wild how they almost require you to have this certain things and size of tanks etc to buy be able to buy a fish or a lizard but it’s not about them pets it’s about that money . This is there way to oversell , and it’s ok. We all got to eat but the way they keep pets in there till sm1 will buy them , just so sad. If they so strongly recommend 10 gallon per fish and such a things, pets mart should be leading by example in FIRST PLACE.
Let’s be real, pets mart don’t really care about anything else but the profit . That’s a fact .
See it for yourself . The bettas really stressed, they look aweful for the most part.
Cats aren’t in much better conditions but at least they get adopted relatively fast unlike poor bettas right there. They shouldn’t sell pets they can’t accommodate according to their own expectations!

Hands down for pets mart for reading these reviews. And do smtng about them if needed.
I went today to pets mart and hopefully, bynot seeing any bettas or lizards only mean that they get rehoused according to the company’s expectation towards pet buyers. Because it’s only fair. This world can get better but only if we lead by example.
So Lead by example because a well trusted company should be the only type of company we need to support . If you have a choice to choose between making your stores nicer, newer, up to date or make it better for the animals, by giving more space and play areas, choose the animals, because your buyers will keep supporting you even if you sell out of a barn knowing you take care of those pets well. If I would be pets mart, I would built the cages under your shelving units or in a middle way maybe. This way you could give all them pets max space w play areas with toys inside you sell ( visual marketing ) and also would free up more space for you what they currently occupy and make buyers go through ur store just to be able to see your animals.
Your adopted pets could be opened to public for anytime emotional support to anyone and that would keep your cats happy while they waiting to be adopted. You could make a kitty coffee ( sell coffee not cat time) to pull in profit to support the extra expenses.
Prolly they would be adopted much quicker too, but if not else would make everyone sooo happy but mainly those cats behind the glass that looking just so sad.
You would make headlines with that, any that type of marketing comes with aftermath.
$$$.
Don’t sell sadness or base ur marketing on negative emotion for these pets, sell happiness and good times.
Everyone needs that the most no matter where you look.
Anyways, u didn’t hire me to reface your company so I won’t get into anymore details, but I can say this. You guys been around long enough to learn about this market and I know you guys can do way better than it is now.
Don’t go with a trend of renewing ur stores to traditional up to date models, rather stop and rethink. Be unique , serve the purpose .
Pets mart should not be just a pets mart or an other petco. Pets mart could be everyone’s #1 choice, when you give a reason.
08-09-2024 update
Was only my wishful thinking that pets mart actually did care for their pets. Nope.
The removal of bettas was temporary . They all back on display half dead. See last 2 pictures. So sad to see it. I really thought it’s a company that cares and to support but if you ask me, shop anywhere for your pets but here. Terrible how some animals keys there, non of you can see ?????

DO NOT EVER TAKE YOUR PET TO GET GROOMED HERE! I have a friend who’s dog was killed after the groomer let her out the front door and she ran through the parking lot and got hit by a car. I know someone else who took their dog there and the moment he got home the dog all of a sudden had skin problems and ended up not being able to walk with his back legs when he never had a problem prior to the grooming/nail clipping. There are so many services where a tech comes to your house to groom. There is no need to leave your dog here for it.
The fact that it is a pet store so if you need something for your pet then you can go get it is cool. But this place in general is terrible. They do not have accurate information about the pets available to buy. We got some silk plants and a fish tank there recently. Not bad pricing.
Betta fish need at least 2.5g tanks - preferably 5g. Us humans can SURVIVE in a crate but would we thrive? No. That would be neglect. A good portion of the animals there are not in great condition either.

Lots of the fish tanks there contained a plethora of dead fish with some of the remaining fish feeding off of them. It seems that the only way they feed their fish is long-release pellets and not daily food. Was extremely deterred from purchasing a fish from them, will not be returning there for any pet needs.

My dogs are a 2-year-old mini Goldendoodle named Cappy and a 6-month-old toy Poodle named Simba. They have been going to Sofia for grooming since their first grooming session. The grooming is always top-notch, and my dogs look beautiful and smell great every time. Our 6-month-old toy Poodle, Simba, has a hard time during grooming. At first, Sofia could only trim him because he moved too much. But two weeks later, when we came back, she went above and beyond to make Simba comfortable, and she was able to gave him a full haircut!
Super happy with the service and will continue coming back!
Thank you, Sofia!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME GROOMING YOUR DOGS HERE. I had a confirmed appointment at 7am. Showed up on time and nobody was there. I waited around for 15 minutes, then someone showed up and said my groomer called out last minute and that nobody else could groom my dogs today. This whole ordeal made me late for work and my dogs weren’t even able to get groomed. The manager really did not care and was very nonchalant about the situation. This is the second time my confirmed appointment has been cancelled by Pet Smart last minute.

While they book grooming appts before the store opens, they don't tell you the main entrance will be locked and you have to go thru the Banfield Hospital entrance. It took me 15 mins to figure this out this morning and was then turned away for being late. There were no warnings or signals about the locked front door for early morning appts. Pet Smart should do better
