AMAZING! The staff and doctor were great! I'm traveling and lost my glasses. They took care of me and even recommend where I can get same day glasses. If I could I'd give this location a 10!

I’m writing to formally express my deep frustration with the way I was treated at your Sterling location today. I had a scheduled appointment at 1:40 PM. Upon arrival, I was told that my insurance information could not be found — despite the fact that I’ve been a returning Visionworks customer for my eye exams, and nothing has changed with my insurance coverage.
The man at the front desk made no effort to re-enter or verify my information. He simply stated that “it wasn’t working” and moved on. I immediately called my benefits center to confirm that my insurance was active. While I was still on the phone trying to resolve the issue myself, he approached me again to say that my appointment was no longer valid — not because I was late, but because he had decided I was taking too long, and the optometrist needed a breast pump break and lunch.
To be clear, I was on time and doing everything I could to resolve an issue that could have been easily addressed had your staff shown any willingness to help. Instead, I was dismissed and blamed for the delay.
I am currently pregnant, and this appointment was important because my vision has been worsening — yet I was treated with impatience, indifference, and an appalling lack of basic customer service.
Out of desperation, I drove 30 minutes to your Fair Oaks Mall location. There, the staff member at the front simply re-entered my insurance information, and guess what? It worked. No issue. No attitude. Just kindness and basic competence.
This is a clear example of how poor service and a lack of effort at one location can lead to unnecessary stress, inconvenience, and anger — especially for a customer who is pregnant, on a tight schedule, and doing her best to navigate an already overwhelming situation.
I sincerely hope you address the culture of dismissiveness at the Sterling location. Your customers deserve respect, not to be penalized because your team refuses to do the bare minimum.

Mama Foz helped my husband and I each try on so many different frames. She was so helpful and adamant that we got exactly what we wanted! Dr. Chang was very complimentary of my eyes during my exam. Wonderful experience.

Juan and Vivian were incredibly helpful in fixing my bent frames. They were extremely professional, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. I highly recommend working with them – outstanding customer service!

I just wanted to thank Juan for being such a great help with my transition to a new office. I got a new insurance that isn’t accepted in this office anymore but he was very responsive with checking my insurance first and following up to inform me it wasn’t accepted there. He’s been able to provide everything I needed in a timely manner and with a positive attitude. Exceptional service even when gracefully leaving the practice. So when you go, ask for Juan.
