I have been banking with Woodforest for over 10 yrs. Within the past couple months their customer service has been absolutely horrible. Long wait times when calling, no one to talk to on weekends when there is an emergency issue with your debit card. I email customer relations and that even takes 48 hrs to have someone help you. I dont recommend this bank to anyone. I am closing my acct after a decade and have opened an acct elsewhere.

The two lady's they are working in the store they are so rude I don't believe we are in 2019 and you have people like them

This is the worst bank I have ever gone to. I have come here a total of three times to pick up western union cash. Every single time it's a horrible experience. The women here have no customer service skills, they are rude and unwelcoming. The last time I was here was on December 2nd 2018 and when arriving no one was at the front desk. I waited for 26 minutes before someone came out. I called their phones and it rang and rang with no answer. When someone finally came out I said, is no one working today? She says "just wait, we will be with you in a minute" wow! This never happens at my bank, Navy Federal!

I had read in internet forums good things about WOODFOREST National Bank. One day shopping in Walmart I looked up and there it was. Open 7 days a week. I went into the branch and the manager, Marlin Thomas, and his staff cordially welcomed me. If anyone is looking for a bank that appears to do business the "old fashioned way", and gets to know there customers, WOODFOREST is that bank. I urge anyone to take a look at there most competive fee schedule. It does not appear difficult to obtain some of there checking accounts for free. You will not be disappointed banking there.
