“It’s been a year and we still appreciate this place. Are you looking for a fresh meat market with reasonable prices? Try Mike’s Country Meat Market. I found this place years ago due to taking an alternate route back into town. This place in my opinion has a better quality & selections of meats & prices than most meat markets in the surrounding areas. It’s about a 20-25 mile drive from Newport News, depending on what part of NN you’re driving from. I encourage you check the website for store hours and to go when the market first opens because they sell out quickly and the early people get the most. (chicken, pork, turkey, beef & seafoods and sometimes rabbit, quail, duck & frog legs etc.) A thumbs up if this review is helpful.”

“OVERNIGHT PARKING- As of March 2024 there’s no on-site overnight parking. I got here at 01:00 my appointment is not till 08:00 in the morning. The guard told me the earliest I can come back is 05:55 and to park at the Walmart less than a mile up the street on College Drive. I’m at the Walmart now there’s 4 other trucks park here that are not Walmart trucks.”
