I am so greatful to Carrie with Animal control that she let me adopt my senior diabetic kitty Meatball (now called Marble). I love her so much and can't believe she's been in my life for only 2 months. It feels like it's been forever.

We adopted our cat Daisy from the shelter about 1.5 years ago. She was considered 'high risk' due to the previous owner claiming she had attacked their toddler. My husband wanted her regardless and she has proven to be a wonderful addition to our household. She definitely needed some TLC at first and we had to navigate some bad behavior, but she is the best! Cats are different from dogs and sometimes people shouldn't own them due to their individual personalities and needs. Understanding that this is a "thing" with cats is very important. She is now our sweet, floofy girl, who has a DEFINITE personality and we respect that. She is awesome! Thank you to the Suffolk Animal Shelter for taking her in and allowing us the opportunity to adopt her!

Worst experience. Seems like they pick & choose which dogs they want to help. I'm begging for my 2 labs' life. 1 is only 4 months, the other is 5 years old and I've had since he was 7weeks. I just had to bury my mother, lost my home, now I can't afford over 500 to get them back so I don't get how the solution is to murder them. If I had a little more time I would come get them no matter the price but they will not work with me. I hope someone with a heart will see this and adopt my dogsI even asked to adopt them back I just need more time. I love you Blue & Achilles! They never hurt anyone they are great with families. I just had the worst time losing my mom. Who couldn't understand that?!

I am look to find my 2 dogs a home I have a pitbull mix she is 2 an a husky shepherd mix she is one 1/2 very loving great with kids as soon as possible it hurts I have to give them away but my landlord is making me

Suffolk Animal Control is one of the nicest AC facilities in Hampton Roads. I was welcomed as soon as I walked in the door and the staff officers were very nice and accommodating. The facility was well maintained and smelled clean. I found my little kitten buddy here and adopted him today! Thank you Suffolk AC for all that you do!❤️
