Please do yourself a favor and book your stay or event at the Inn at Meadowcroft!I had my wedding here and booked the entire Inn for 2 nights. Bill and his staff are amazing! They are the friendliest and most accommodating people. We had every room booked, and they made our guests feel like they were at home.Bill, the owner, told us when we were looking at the venue that they try to make the Inn feel like you're coming to grandma's house, which is exactly what it feels like. Staying there feels like a warm hug.We had one guest who arrived in the middle of the night, and Bill called them up a few days before to let them know how to get into the Inn and their room. They're just on top of things and very accommodating. The Inn itself seems super rustic, but the interior is decorated and renovated VERY nicely. The views are fantastic and the kids got to see baby goats at the farm nearby. The kids also fell in love the the barn cat named Oreo and the dog Tilly. It was just a perfect place to gather all of our family! My wife and I look forward to coming back here for our anniversaries!

This is just such a beautiful place off the beaten path. We stayed in the cabin and it was so nice. Our host Bill gave us a call the day of our reservation to confirm. He was a wonderful host with lots of history about the area to share with us.The cabin was immaculate there wasn’t a speck of dust to be found. It is just beautiful inside and out. We set up a table in front of the fireplace and enjoyed some board games and the coziness of it all.The massive copper tub was large enough for 2… and the shower door was so clean I almost walked into it.Beautifully decorated and very welcoming. I just wanted to pick the whole place up and put it on my property. We had a nice breakfast each morning and the service was great.Super friendly people in a very gorgeous setting5+stars highly recommendVery convenient to Staunton, Afton for the wineries or if your riding the Virgina Scenic Railroad you will have a wonderful get away weekend.

We loved our 3 night stay here! Bill and the other staff treated us warmly. The atmosphere is elegantly rustic. The room was clean and spacious. We absolutely loved the porch swings and chairs. Our kids liked rolling down the hill immediately behind the inn. Highly recommended!

Great bed and breakfast with phenomenal views of the country. Bill was so accommodating. The modest home-style breakfast was served with great attention. We had a lovely 3 night stay. The front porch swing offers a wonderful little place to watch fireflies or the rain.

We found The Inn at Meadowcroft at the last minute while trying to find a stopping point on our long road trip. Bill & Judy were so so sweet from the moment we called and started asking questions. They even so graciously accommodated our early check-in (as we were driving through the night) and allowed us to bring our 2 year old since we were only staying 1 night. The room was immaculate, the tub/shower experience in the suite was amazing, and the bed was very comfortable! Our little family of 3 loved being so close to the city, but also the opportunity to explore the farmland and see the animals. This place has quickly became a favorite and we will definitely be back in the near future!

“Welcome to the family” says our gracious host, Bill.We recently spent two nights at Meadow Croft and it was wonderful. The vision behind the quaint country inn and joining several old log homes together was unbelievable. CLEAN, very clean. Plated breakfast is delicious and served in a central dining “hall”. I can’t say enough about the charm, warmth and hospitality. The pictures on any travel app do not do justice and simply can not convey the warmth of the experience I hope you will have.Staunton is 15 minutes away for nightlife if you need it.Rocking chairs, porch swings and patios are available to relax on if need be.If you are considering a visit I do not believe you will be disappointed.

You will never forget this place. Authentically done to honor the 1794 time period of original country home. 9 generations have owned the place. The drive there and surrounding countryside is breath taking. Nestled in the Shenandoah Valley.

My husband and I had a weekend getaway and stayed in the George Washington Swoope, Jr. Suite. We were immediately welcomed from the time we pulled into the parking area. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. My husband and I enjoyed the porch swing in the evening. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. Thank you for your hospitality. We will be back to the Inn at MeadowCroft in the future!

While searching for a place to stay in the Shenandoah Valley, I located a lovely looking Inn with immediate availability. The "Inn at MeadowCroft," located in Swope, Va., had a dramatic visual appeal from the web site. I stayed midweek for the purpose of my travels. Upon arrival I met with the proprietors and couldn't have scripted a more lovely greeting and entrance. I've always found that people who I meet from the Shenandoah Valley are always so warm, friendly. engaging and just really nice people. After we settled in, the owner advised and guided us with great information on the area as well as the working farm located there on the property. We were also really fortunate to get a special tour of the property and surrounding area courtesy of the owners. Really, really good people. As for the property, 100% fabulous and clean. The decor is is so well matched with the structure. The amenities were first class! As for the location, my image from the front porch kinda tells you that sitting there and enjoying a truly quiet evening is way appropriate for the setting. The property has facilities for groups and events as well. The price was on point for our stay. In retrospect, I wish my first visit was a bit longer as I really enjoyed meeting the owners and spending time to get to know them. Kinda obvious, if not revealed here, I will be going back!!! Very highly recommend this for a quiet and comfortable place to stay in the Valley, with access to so much beauty located in the nearby area!#Inn at MeadowCroft
