My family and I visited twice. A refreshing place, like stepping away from the rest of the world for a moment. Sincerely helped shape new goals for our home, family, and farm.

Had a great visit today! I’ve been wanting to visit for the last year but stopped by while I was in the area for a wedding. The people I met were so nice and welcoming. I’m looking forward to trying the beef, sausage, and eggs we purchased.

Amazing!!! This event was organized by Tai Lopez & John Salatin. Mr. Salatin showed how safe, healthy free range chickens and grass fed cows are managed efficiently. In addition several successful entrepreneurs also presented how they scaled their businesses. The whole event was educational, inspiring, impressive and informative plus several more amazing adjectives! All of it took place on a beautiful real farm in picturesque VA. Wow! I had an extraordinary and memorable time.

My father and I had an amazing time of learning and fellowship with Joel. He was a perfect host. One of the few people that 100% live up to their reputation after meeting them in person. Polyface Farm is genuine and transparent.

We have been so inspired by Joel for almost a year now and our dream is to have a homestead of our own. We drove out here to check out the farm and had no expectations of actually being able to listen to him speak. The ladies in the shop were so very sweet and welcoming and after hearing our story and how much Joel has influenced us informed us that he was speaking right outside and that we were welcome to listen in. We loved the whole experience and even got to speak with Joel for a little. Our kids absolutely loved it!!

After seeing Polyface many different ways/times on the internet it was wonderful to see it in person, like a pilgrimage to a sacred place of sustainability. We took a self guided tour of the property and learned so much: the watering systems, the sylvo pastures, the animal rotations, the chicken butchering system, and the chicken tractors. The air was so clean and clear, we couldn't believe it. We visited the store and bought goodies, honey, and a frozen broiler that I can't wait to cook up. The 100% grass-fed A2 milk from a local farm is fantastic; if this is what milk is supposed to taste like, I am no longer on the fence about getting a milk cow! Thank you so much to the Salatin family for providing education and healthy food, and allowing visitors to your farm; you are an inspiration and a blessing to many. May you have many more years, and decades, of success; lets change the food structure one farm, one family, one meal at a time.

Just did a quick tour here once, but it has a magical little feel if you've ever done any farming and gardening. Looking at the way things are set up around here are very inspiring and unique. If I ever get a farm before the world ends it would definitely have some similarities to this farm. Would maybe even come intern in a perfect world if I was able to! Super cool place if you like permaculture systems and eco friendly farming, definitely come take a look around if you're in the area!

Grass Stained Tour with Heather was awesome. Missed seeing Joel Salatin this time. One visit, I reckon and dream I'll be invited along with my young family to break bread with his family. Wonderful farm, perfect land to enjoy and a gift to see it all used so well.. like the farm was run the way it's supposed to be..

I drove five hours to visit Polyface farms in Swoope. The last few miles I weren't sure the GPS was correct because they are so remote, but I breathed a sigh of relief when I finally saw the sign. Was the only visitor on a weekday which I was told was odd -- not unusual for a busload of people to show up. I had unfettered access to anywhere on the farm, minus the residences. I stepped into the pig area, visited the pastured cows, turkeys, chickens, ducks and goats. The farm is simple and proves the management-intensive/infrastructure-minimal philosophy that Joel Salatin espouses in his books. I enjoyed seeing the sawmill I've seen on his YouTube videos. I chatted with a couple of the workers who were very friendly and helpful. Also purchased about $65 worth of chicken, beef and eggs from the store. $65 didn't go very far, but I enjoyed the food very much and ended up sharing it with some friends in the area at whose home I was a guest. Everyone agreed that it reflected superior quality. Great visit. I'd love to return and be part of the Lunatic Tour.
