About Graves Mountain Farm Campground
Graves Mountain Farm Campground is a primitive campground next to Shenandoah National Park, also operating as a horse campground for serious trail riding. It is a unique area for equine campers, RVs, and tent campers alike on a 1100-acre farm with 30 acres for camping. It offers a free form, no reservation required experience with plenty of room so campers are not cramped. Amenities include a dump station (though pre-arrangements are required), water spikets, vault toilets, a toilet house, and a barn with stalls for rent. There are no hook-ups, so a generator is recommended. The beautiful area features 18 miles of mountain and meadow trails, two mountain streams, two fishing ponds, and access to easy local horse trails and foot hikes as well as Shenandoah National Park. Activities include fly fishing, hiking, riding, and biking. Onsite, there is a Lodge with weekend live music, a full restaurant, and a Market-Deli & Tackle corner store with camping needs, propane, firewood, and take out foods. There is also a seasonal pool and cottages for rent. It is very dog friendly. The cost is $12 per person per night for a tent.
