A cross between a tradition British tea room (with the eclectic furnishings and intentionally mismatched place settings) and a country cafe. The Crest Hill Tea Room offers a variety of dining options including a monthly themed tea, a proper High Tea with soup or salad and other more filling dishes, a Traditional Afternoon Tea and a Cream Tea. For those who don’t want tea there are sandwiches, salads and soup options, plus children’s menu options. We opted for the Cream Tea for 2, which was plenty of food for a light lunch for 2 people and is served up with bottomless tea. There are so many tea options I can’t remember them all! You also have a choice of scone, so we tried the blueberry white chocolate scone and the Irish cream scone. Both were delicious! Airy and tender and served up warm with a side of cream (you also have the option of jam or curd but you must ask for it). There was also a warm apple tart, cream puffs, cheesecake, banana bread with chocolate chips, macarons, cookies and fresh fruit (grapes, blueberries, orange slices). Everything was incredibly tasty. They were setting up for a large birthday party as we were finishing so servers were distracted. Otherwise, service throughout was very good. It’s a small place, so I would recommend making reservations in advance on their website (no pre-payment required) to be sure you can get a table.Parking is on street or there’s a small lot across the street.

Sunday afternoon tea. This was our first experience at Cresthill Tea house. Overall our experience was pleasant. The service was slow. We had to ask our server for sugar tongs, honey and more hot water twice which took away from a 5 star review. Food was good, scones were the best. Serving of clotted cream was sparse.

Tea was very good and the food was tasty! The tea selection is vast and anyone can find something to choose. The finger sandwiches were tasty and the scones were delicious! Small portion of cream for the scones, wish we got a bit more. The service was a little slow waiting for tea refills, but other than that it was a wonderful time! Parking is on the street and it did take a little bit to find a spot somewhere.

Best high tea I've ever had. I ordered the Full Monty, each sandwich was so delicious. The peach and cinnamon scone - scrumptious! The Rooibos tea was so fragrant and refreshing. Lovely atmosphere! Will definitely go back!

I am Not a Tea Drinker...but I went with family and had a nice time. The food was good and so was the Hot Chocolate.

The beginning of the tea time was fine; they explained the options and we got our tea and food relatively quickly. When it was time for the check we had said we were done and asked for a box. Over an hour then went by, with the lady checking in on every other table and bringing out various orders, but never the check or the box. For several trips in and out of the kitchen she refused to look our way, instead taking new tables orders and waiting on them. We waited patiently since we realize it’s a low-staffed yet busy place, but eventually we went up and asked for the check from another associate. We got the check and box within seconds. I don’t understand the concept of fetching three other tables orders before giving an existing table the check. We were the first table there and had already asked for the check, so why start three new tables from scratch before just finishing ours? We were stuck there and it was incredibly frustrating.

Unbelievable experience. The have 50+ teas you can smell in a sampler before choosing. All dining ware is unique and festive - often patrons will in fact dress up. Sandwiches and scones / pastries were delectably, delicious. Extremely affordable and tasty - well worth the trek and a must try!ig: @harshaeats

This little tea room is so cute and quaint. We got the Christmas tea which came with a cup of homemade potato soup and that was excellent. The tea sandwiches were really flavorful and the sweets totally hit the spot. We all got some scones to go too.

Both laura and matt are fabulous laura does front of house matt does all the baking and cooking you can tell they both love what they do and are excellent at it! Don’t worry about CHORDIE tweety attitude and making sure you do everything right. They’re very helpful and kindVegetarian options: More than willing to replace meat sandwiches with vegetarian sandwich of choice. Soup was vegetarian and fabulous!

Crest Hill is everything a tea room should be! It’s warm, inviting, and cozy. Friends can relax and hear each other across the table, while enjoying any one of dozens of excellent loose leaf teas. The sandwiches and especially the scones with clotted cream are exactly right. This is a lovely, charming, unpretentious, happy place!
